Hi everyone,

I've been reading up on this game for the past days and am very impressed with all the riddle and mystery solving, you guys have done so far.

What is frustrating me is that I cannot see where this is at all going and what the „big" themes in this game/mystery are. So I've been thinking about the protagonists and their roles in this, especially why they have been chosen. Here are a few thoughts and questions, I've come up with, maybe you can make something of it.

Ana: Reading through her blog, thinking about the Pleiades, I was wondering why she has been chosen as a key protagonist.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ana's first entry in her blog says „I still feel invisible". In her entry about the Pleiades, she writes about the seven sisters, but only six are visible, the one missing being the „Lost Pleiad". She cites that depending on the source, this is either Electra, Merope or Celeano. I kinda think that Ana is the lost or invisble star/sister. In the programme for the play, Celeano was mentioned as the missing sister, so Ana could in some (metaphorical?) way be her.

I can't find it anymore, but I vaguely remember, that one of the descriptions of the play also mentioned a funeral. On Wikipedia it says that in Celtic mythology, the Pleiades are also associated with tears and mourning. This concurs with what is written in the Wiki about The Star Factory. That may mean something...and I'm getting pretty worried about Ana!

Another thing that struck me while reading her blog: There seems to be a bit of history with her, her dad and Belfast. Not to mention the locket, which may also have some more meaning than just pointing us towards the ciliaris arts centre. In the Wiki, the father and his suicide where also referenced. I will ask Ana, if she wouldn't mind telling us a bit about the connection of her father and Belfast.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If Ana is one of the sisters, obviously her dad, aka Atlas is important, too.

There has been a lot of talk about passworts recently on Twitter, here etc. Maybe I missed it, but what are they for, where are they supposed to be used? No matter where they may need to be used, I would try the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
49 (7x7 and the number used in the name of Ana's blog)
danika (as above)
any of the missing sister's names

Well, that's all I've come up with so far...

Cheerio!

@Caro: What is strange?

@seahorse: Daith is Irish for David, I am not any of the Davids known to Ana or Meri.

Anyone else want to host the wiki? Smile

I think you are doing a great job on hosting the wiki....

@seahorse
the passwords are used on the invisible belfast site...
See also mail 4 on the wiki, this will explain a bit on the current password status and discussions...

Hope that helps...

@draghkar: thanks for that!
@daithi: you will have to agree, that this whole David-business is rather confusing Wink But thanks for the feedback and I agree with draghkar: great job on the wiki, keep up the good work!

just found the following game related OOG site:

http://www.filmtrip.tv/blog/entry/invisible-belfast-literary-arg-marries-technology-gaming-and-literature/

contains some interesting information...

EDIT
A PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this is probably a mistake and should not have been published yet, but...
http://www.qub.ac.uk/sites/queensquarterweekends/EventsCalendar/ shows the following text:

Constellations of Belfast [in]visible belfast finale Crescent Arts Centre Saturday 18th

Another play?? if so, I hope the feed will stay intact.

A new vlog from Ana :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOiWoa0LCN0

Some questions:

1.) where is Meri
2.) Why oh why is Meri so darn silent
3.) Who is the mysterious writer who likes childrens writing so much
3a. Is is invisible belfast?
3b. Is it Ciarán Carson?
4.) Scary thought, is Ana's father really dead?? I am not sure they ever saw his body, since they were in Canada, and he was in Belfast..
4a if this is true, is her father by any change invisible belfast?? How else would Inv. Belfast know so much about ana??

Just speculation...

the last pickup:

can someone determine what is written down in the postcard size areas?

The text on the bottom reads:

Quote:
They called this the zone. The zone was not the factory, though it was of the factory and bore its aura. It was an interactive blueprint, not virtual, but narrative reality. It was called the zone in order to distinguish it from all other enclaves into which the previous city had been long divided, those were proper nouns with lineages of real names and topography behind them.

The text on top reads:

Quote:
observation of the avian paths affordsed them no insight, for their futures would be altered by the very fact of entering the factory.

Taken from pages 62 (top) and 63 (bottom) from the starfactory...

For some reason Ana posted the image back to front.

The first section says: "observation of the avian paths afforded them no insight, for their futures would be altered by the very fact of entering the Factory"

Its from page 62 of the Star Factory.

The second section is from page 63..."The called this the Zone. The Zone was not the Factory though it was of the Factory and bore its aura. It was an interactive blueprint; not virtual, but narrative reality. It was called the Zone in order to distinguish it from all other enclaves into which the previous city had been long divided; these were proper nouns with lineages of real names and topography behind them"

Dont have page 62 or 63, however we have page 61, where he refers to the following locations:

  • the star factory
  • Falls Road Baths

Maybe that helps?
