 		post 2
in this post i'll try to chronologize season 2


the earliest entry we see is 34, which has jay driving to the return address of the tape alex sent him. 35 is right after. then 36, then 38, 39, 40, and then 29.



entry 29 has no confirmed place on the timeline, but it would make sense that it comes right after 40.


next comes the start of the season, entry 27, which goes straight into 28. WE HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT JAY HAS A KEY IN HIS BAG, WHAT IS THE KEY FOR? next entries 30-33 come in order.


so far imo, season 2 goes:

34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 29, (end of tapes) 27, 28, 30, 31, 32, 33

entry 37 is just a video tta/slendy found in alex's house after he up and left in entry 26 probably. either that or slendy truely was there for his bday.

Bull. The lights were still off and practically none of the video had enough light to really notice anything important unless Jay was really close.

 		Entry 23 is a lot like Entry 40.

In Entry 23, Jay was chasing Masky before encountering the Operator. Before the encounter, Jay is looking around with no Masky in sight. Jump to Entry 40, (presumably) Masky was checking out Jay's car the night before. Jay then goes exploring in the forest with no Masky in sight, then runs across the Operator. Is it possible that Masky is acting as a precursor to the Operator?

If he is, then it adds an interesting shade to the Alex/Tim dynamic. Assuming Alex hates Tim, he probably hates him for bringing the Operator about. And considering Alex had JUST encountered the Operator in his happy home, that does seem like good motivation to attack Tim with a rock.

IT JUST MIGHT BE THE KEY TO HIS SIDEKICK NAMED "JAY'S CAR" ALLCAPS

 		You know, I got the DVD, I listened to the wacky banter in the commentary, saw the bloopers, and I thought that was it, no way can this ever scare me again.

Then there was that visual tear, and your heart started racing. And when that black shadow kicked in for just a split second during the distortion I thought that was it, and I was scared. And then, there was that flash of facelessness by the trees and suit and my heart hit my throat and then,
okay, I was wrong and I thought that would be enough adrenalyn for a week.

And then, gods, when he was right in his face, I nearly had a heart attack.

I thought the fear was gone.

I was wrong...

And kudos for Jay showing the best example of genre savvines in the whole slenderman mythos:

Going by that, though, he should have mentioned seeing him or at least a small theory other than "I only remember what is on the tape".

I can't word it right, but he always has a theory on the people he sees and not mentioning someone could be taken as him not seeing them.

morscata12: We cannot confirm that the person outside the car in #39 is Tim/Masky, but we do know it was TTA, so please refer to that person as TTA, not Masky, until proven otherwise.

 		now as far as my predictions go, here is what i have brewing:



jay meets jessica soon after entry 40. they figure out something and book the hotel rooms next to each other as a safe haven. jay puts his tapes in his safe and gives jessica the password in case anything happens to him, figuring he'd remember it.

jessica is influenced by slendy in the hotel room periodically (seen by the x through the 0 in the passcode to the safe, maybe she was writing it down under his influence. also we know slendy was there because of the visual tear (i believe the tear means slendy himself is near, but the distortion could mean other things)


as far as alex is concerned, i have two theories:


theory 1: alex is truely good and only seems annoyed at jay due to stress and paranoia, he has to watch his own ass before jay's. he knows way more than he lets on.

theory 2: alex has done ALL OF THIS in order to get the footage he needed to make a great movie because he felt that MH was lackluster with poor acting. everything we see is planned, and slendy is just a guy in costume with a bunch of magnets attached. he's doing this to get the reactions out of his actors that he always wanted

(yes i know theory #2 is false, don't waste your time arguinig that it can never happen)

 		the key jay had in his bag was defenitely not for a car. and he had pills on him too, they were orange unlike tim's white pills.

"Soon after Entry #40" is completely inaccurate for what you are predicting because we still have about 5 and a half months of those 7 months left and I don't think J would stay in one place that long.

i have a sneaking suspicion that it's going to end up meaning absolutely nothing, like the bullet casing found in The Brian Flavored Tip House that had Masky in it. but you're correct, that wasn't his car key.

I dunno. I have a feeling that it's going to be explained, even if the bullet was just "SO I PULLED OUT MY GUN! (And now I'm hiding in the closet)"

I think the key may be to a lock box or something we've yet to come across because this is focused on the past at the moment. When we get back to real time it'll be explained.

Yeah. We know about the pills. They're Ibuprofen. Says right on the label. IRL Ibuprofen is also orange and comes in tiny, tiny pieces. Confused

PS: All car keys pretty much look different. Mine has a triangular plastic cover on top; my room mate's pops out of a handle like a switchblade; I'm pretty sure forklift keys don't have any bells or whistles on 'em. Rolling Eyes

and jay clearly did stay there for that long. in entry 27 he is in a hotel right near rossdale park


i'd imagine the season is halfway over at this point, and they haven't really given us much to work with so far

 		i'd like to think the bullet casing ties into the blood alex had on his face along with the blood in the sink from brian's bathroom.

then again someone dying of a gunshot in marble hornets sounds unrealistic.

i don't think the key is for a car. jay said he was adding it to his keyring, and his car keys would have already been on there. plus, i think he would recognize his car key if he could remember where rossdale park was from his hotel

 		all i know is that they have something good going here. if they end the series with "slender man turns people into his slaves who don't realize what they're doing and can warp places and can't die" i will be pissed because i feel they're more creative than that
