You know how the seasons in MH are bookended with Jay driving a car?

The final entry would be just that, Jay driving somewhere, with exposition in text and whatnot. At some point, however, you'd notice it's different than normally, because it's longer than usual, Jay is actually taking turns to a certain direction (as opposed to just forging ahead), etc. There's also distortion, but it starts off as subtle, and increases as the footage goes on, eventually tearing all over the place like in #29.

And then we see it through Jay's windshield: The Operator facing Tim and Alex in some unknown parking lot. Jay puts his car on full throttle and rams Big Op in the side, who doesn't turn to face Jay (callback to #1 yayay) until a split of a second before impact.

Then the footage becomes largely impossible to decipher (just like every one of Jay's encounters), but at some times, we can catch several lines of text and a few frames - one of which is the "body" lying on the ground, broken in several places. Then it flickers out of existence for a split second, and a tear in the last frame before the cut to black causes Unfiction to argue about The Operator's fate.

What follows is Jay and Tim meeting up for the last time, exchanging their goodbyes, and going in their separate ways.

Tim coughs mildly as he walks away. Probably just smoker's morning cough.

I'm terrible at hypothetical endings, but I'll try anyway. Hopefully what I come up with will at least be moderately entertaining:

Somewhere down the line, Alex comes to Jay for another shaky partnership, this time to deal with Tim. Alex reveals that, when he saw Tim's medical records, he came to the realization that Jay is not responsible for the appearance, & subsequent re-appearance, of The Operator. Only when they recover Tim and resolve the mystery of Totheark, they realize they're all against The Operator, in one way or another.

Since Alex is looking for Amy, and Jay Jessica, Tim will have decided to start looking for...I don't know, Brian or Sarah. In addition to confronting The Operator, they hope to find the rest of the missing people.

The penultimate entries deal with them hunting, and failing to locate, The Operator in the abandoned hospital. Their growing frustration causes them to revisit their problems between each other. Tim takes issue with Jay's obsessive need to film everything, Alex still doesn't trust Tim not to go all psycho alter-ego on them, and Jay is suspicious that this is just another one of Alex's traps.

In one entry, they face continual false alarms, & once again begin growing paranoid that the whole mess was caused by one of the others. They begin arguing, & just when things are about to turn violent, The Operator finally appears. Jay's camera is dropped, and begins showing disjointed scenes of the "fight." Clips of the cast lying beaten and bloody, and The Operator barely moving show that it is incredibly one-sided. The last thing that is heard is Alex's gun going off.

In the final entry, the trio is revealed to be alive & well, but they realize now that the rest of the missing people were probably killed by The Operator. They explain that the delay was caused by a technical problem in uploading the second video to YouTube, nothing sinister, & that they couldn't kill The Operator, but they're pretty sure it will leave them alone, because they clearly remember it fleeing. As Jay turns the camera off, a man in a suit is seen walking past a window, but it's unclear how tall he is.

I think in some way it should involve some Melancholia-esque ending, with maybe slendy on a vicious rampage across the Marble Hornets world and the suriviors waiting it out. Probably doesn't fit, but still.

Also, the missing characters fates MUST be resolved, no doubt.

So I made an account in order to post this, hopefully some of you will like it. I would also like to apologise for any errors in my language since english is not my mother's tounge.

I mainly watched the entries and not followed too many threads or tried to analyze much on my own, so this may be completly off storywise from the information that has been concluded through thread investigation and discussisons.

To start things off, I really hope we don't have a happy ending. What I want for is for basicly everyone to die/go completly batshit crazy. As a viewer I hope that the end only makes me fear Slender Man more in a way like: Now that Slenderman is done with theese maybe he will come after me, who have seen all of this.

Here's an example:

Jay has found out that the root to all of this is the infected and paranoid mind that is Alex. Alex is the one who in fear (or under the command) of slendy has been taking out the crew members. Jay has solid proof of this and he is getting closer to finding Jessica, while trying to steer clear of Alex to avoid confrontation because he knows how unstable he is. During his filming of an entry he recievs a call from a sobbing Jessica whispering in a scared voice:

"I can't take it, He's here, he's gonna find me, there's nowhere to run"

"Who's gonna find you?"

"Alex! he's here his here XXX-location".

She tells Jay where she is located which just happens to be some creepy ass barn or abandoned hospital or w/e. Jay goes there he enters and calls her again, no answear. enters the house to search finds no one, calls again, hears the phone, locates it and when he picks it up and turns around all you see is Alexs face swinging a crowbar toward Jay. The camera is dropped facing Alex and Jay (who is lying on the ground silently moaning, barely awake) Slendy stands in the background. Alex is at this stage maniacly giggling distortions starts to happen to audio/video.

"Finally! You will get what's coming for you Jay. Had you only left me alone none of this would have happened. Hadn't it been for you exposing all of this to the entire FUCKING world on the internet none of this would have had to happend!

I gave you several opportunities to make this right, but you wouldn't cooperate. (here Alex changes from angry and manica,l to calm and relaxed) Don't you see? All you need to do is be nice. Nothing to be afraid of. He guides us, takes care of us, companies us, watches over us. You never have to be lonely."

Jay who while Alex was talking shouts:

"Where is Jessica, what have you done to her."

Alex replies, still calm but more serious:

"Oh Jessica, in the end she couldn't be nice. I tried (now alex is starting to tremble). Oh Jay I tried I really did, but she wouldn't be nice! So he took her away, where she couldn't bother us anymore."

Jay replies, shouting:

"What is wrong with you? You are the one bothering her, you attacked me with a crowbar, you've even tried to shoot me! I'm done with this and you! (pointing directly at slendy, go fuck your self"

Alex replies now also shouting back to being manical and angry:
"No Jay it is you who don't understand and you will never understand! "

attacking Jay again with the crowbar and everyone goes silent as soon as it hits. Jay is no longer moving. Alex is calm the second the crowbar hits the ground. Slendy also disappears, as well as distortions. he backs off a few steps.

His state of mind is completly changed. He is no longer manical. He starts breathing heavily. He looks down at the camera and runs away.

This is where it's cut to TTA's perspective. TTA has been filming from a distance and sees alex come out of the building and sitting down leaning to the wall hands on his head. TTA aproaches. Alex Doesn't notice or doesn't care. TTA is now holding the camera down to Alex face where we can see his eyes are wide open, he's hyperventlating.

Alex says whispering while breathing "He's gone, I can't believe it he's gone!"

He suddenly looks up at the camera and gets up, runs over to his car and whips out his gun and points it to his head. TTA shouts "No, Alex-" but he shoots himself.

We recognise the voice. It's Jessica. She spins the camera Around, Looking at it blankly for a few seconds, and then gives out a small smirk before it gets dark. "You're next" flashes by, credits roll.

-THE END-

So yeah obviously there's some holes here, and honestly I did come up with this as I wrote, but I really wanted to get seomthing posted so hopefully you'll like it. What I was thinking is that TTA is Slendys henchman, TTA is the liar, Tim was trying to help but TTA got more of our trust and mostly for calling the manical Tim a liar etc. All along TTA has been playing us, to get into SLendys game, cause that's all it is for Slendy and TTA, a game. Slendy has no motive, he's just chaos.

EDIT: I didn't read more than the first and last page of this thread before posting, and now looking though it I see that other people had similar ideas which was pretty much the same, which sadly makes this post dramatically less intresting.

I know it's been brought up already but I'd rather have an open ending.

Basically the final "entry" would be about Jay (andTimand/orBrianand/orJessicaand/orAmyand/orSethand/orSarahand/orSlendyDolland/orAlexand/orRocky) finding the location of the ark. Remember that thing? Well my thinking is, it's how The Operator got to our world. It's a very powerful, yet subtle object, and it seems to be something which can be destroyed. Jay (and the possible gang) will set out to destroy it and maybe stop TO. White text on black background saying something cool and... that's it. The "final battle" or whatever you want to call it could have multiple outcomes and it'd be up to the loyal viewer to decide for themselves how it really ends. One might say there isn't another entry because they died. Or maybe their minds have been wiped. Or maybe they just want to move the hell on ASAP.

Lame? Maybe. Some people would like a set, definite ending, good or bad. I'm not one of those people and am very hard to please when it comes to endings :/ The example wasn't any good and it has a glaring hole but it's something I threw together just now and it pleases me because I wrote it.

EDIT: FWIW I don't actually want The Operator to be defeated, so any ending that supports him is cool by me.

Quite honestly I don't want to know the origin or really anything more about the TO and potential weaknesses he might have. I want a conclusive ending for Jay and the gang, but saying "Oh this is how Slendy came here and this is how we get rid of him" takes away a lot of the creepyness and fear of him. The fact taht you have no idea how to handle a situation where you are stalked by slendy is, to me, what makes him so scary.

As I looked back in the thread I saw that sjhartsfield put it very well into words already:

sjhartsfield wrote:

See, part of what makes the Operator frightening to me is that he doesn't have a method or motive(at this point, anyway). If we can come away from Marble Hornets saying, "Well, the Operator targeted Alex because Alex [insert inciting action here].", then suddenly we as the audience are safe. We can say, "As long as I don't [action], the Operator won't get me." At this point, none of us are safe because the Operator can choose anyone at any time. That's part of what freaks me personally out, anyway.

But hey you did have a pretty original idea, so I applaud you for that Wink

For a downer ending we could see Jay and Tim at Alex's funeral, so is Amy, maybe Alex's parents are there too, in the background. Either Seth or Brian attends, but says nothing. A few days later Jessica forwards an obituary about Alex to Jay, which he shares on Twitter. After a few weeks Jay tweets that he's been feeling normal again, and that he won't be updating anymore. With Alex dead, the operator gone somewhere else, and the disappeared people no longer disappeared there's no need to keep looking. There are unanswered questions, but they'll never be answered.

I'm not sure how I want it to end, but I sure don't want it to end with white text on a black background saying like "the final battle" or "it's.. over.. it's finally over" or anything like that

it's so cheesy, stupid and cringe worthy

I don't think they would do something really cheesy. They seem to know what's cheesy and try to avoid it.

On the operator note, I know theirs isn't "Slenderman" but it's kind of a responsibility to write with character that everyone shares since marble hornets influenced the mythos so much, so I don't think he should be ended or killed off. With this kind of entity, you know he's always there and there's nothing you can do about it. You just hope to live the rest of your life as best you can.

^ yeah, I'm not really worried, I'm sure they'll give us a great wrap up to Marble Hornets. I've just seen a lot of people say things like that and I just think it's awful.

Yeah, usually people do it because they think it's dramatic.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jay should get a panicked call from Jessica telling him they're all in trouble Alex is here and where she is. Then Jay drives to the location and finds everyone dead in a parking lot. He then holds the camera above his head, looks up to face it, and yells "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". The end.

Jay has needed to face and interact with the camera more ever since #47. I support. He also needs to dictate his travel there like in the Free Studio Tour video. Fancy voice and all.

I wrote a longer version of an ending. Full of cliches and all~

Greatest ending to Marble Hornets.

Jay's at a dead end. He's lost track of everyone but he knows that totheark is planning on taking down Alex.

It's just before sunset. He's sitting in his hotel room, flipping channels with a blank look on his face, however the fact that he's always filming himself lets us know that he doesn't feel safe and that he probably never will until this is all resolved.

Then, he gets a call. He jumps, startled, and then answers his phone.

It's Jessica. And she's panicked and screaming things about Rosswood park when the call is dropped. Jay holds the phone away from his ear for a few seconds and stares stoically off into the distance. He then bolts out the door keys and camera in hand.

We see him get into his car and the camera is tossed in the front seat at a perfect angle to catch his face. A face we have never seen from Jay. A face of pure determination, anger and intensity with a bit of fear mixed in. We hear the roar of Jay's engine.

Jay speeds into the parking lot of Rosswood and grabs his camera. He gets out of the car and looks upon the parking lot, his face as expressionless as the Operator's. We see the camera pan down.

The bodies of everyone he knew lay strewn on the ground. . Hoody's mask is ripped, revealing him to be Brian, his face is bleeding and the life has left his eye, visible through the rip in his mask. Jessica is lying face down, not moving, not breathing. Seth is lying a ways away, shot. In his hand he holds a skully mask. Sarah is also dead next to him. Alex's head is bleeding and he is lifeless; a bloody rock lies next to him, revealing the cause of death. And finally, Jay sees Tim to the side of Alex. His mask is smashed and his chest is over his heart, covering the lethal stab wound.

Jay's camera pans up, the shaky camera work indicating he's trembling a bit. There's a tear in the film.

It's sunset. The camera rests on the horizon and the operator, who's now standing across the parking lot, his head tilted, arms beginning to outstretch, presenting to Jay his doing. He drops his arms a little and starts to approach. The camera begins buzzing.

Jay then holds the camera above his head, tilts his head back so his face looks up to the camera, and yells "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

The footage goes black for a full minute.

"The End." flashes across the screen in white letters.
