I'd really like to see them explain the red tower, actually. It left a real impact on me, even if it was just used for just a segment in the story.

In the end, we will find out that the ark is really "box of thing". Jay will politely ask Alex for the Box of Thing. Alex, realizing it's not some deep dark secret or anything, will hand it over and go on his merry way, then Jay will give it to TTA. The Operator will feel insignificant and disappear in a puff of plot device. Everyone goes home happy.

I would like for them to only vaguely explain the origin of the Slenderman (so the rest of the slender universe can still hold)

Marble Hornets & the rest of the Slenderverse do not interact. Even if MH gave him an origin story, which they say they probably won't, it wouldn't cause any continuity problems with anything else.

I say, at the end we find out they're all stuck in a kind of stable time loop.

Hear me out. We know from the start that it was three years after Alex stopped filming Marble Hornets BEFORE Jay was given the tapes.

Jay seems to have very little knowledge of those three years. OR, he remembers those three years before MH hijinks occurred, but the.. lets say year, of the filming was wiped.

So, I'm saying that they've done all this before. Only they aren't in a "groundhog day" loop. It's more like "Groundhog Day if Phil got mind wiped after he banged whatever her name was, and has to start over."

Look at the houses, how run down they all are.
Note how no one talks about their parents, or families.
The maskies may be people who have figured out they're stuck in the loop and are trying to break free.
