Didn't care much for the rest, but that part was great.

Yeah, I didn't put very much effort into it. I just wanted to get to the part where Tim says "I don't give a fuck".

No matter what, Marble Hornets needs to end with SOMEONE saying that.

Naw, he smiles with his non-existant mouth and says "You just stood up to me. Good for you. That's all I was waiting for."

I legit lol'd.

It'll end with a TTA video.

It'll be what is supposed to be the last entry, Alex and Jay will be in a forest looking for something to stop Slenderman(They got a tip there was something there that could) and while they're in it we'll see Alex get dragged away. Then J will run for a bit and hide, then Masky will show up and they'll have another struggle (Camera will be on the ground facing them) and then Masky will get up calmly and Jay will be laying there holding his stomach, then tentacles will grab his feet and pull him away while he flails his arms and screams. It will end with it sitting there for half a minute before Masky picks it up and looks directly into it. It'll stay like this until the distortion becomes completely static, then on the last frame it says "(X)VER"

It'll be entitled "Entry??.avi"

?? is whatever number they are on then.

I can't decide how I would like it to end. I don't really want to protagonists to lose, but I don't want the Operator defeated either. I want a mix. That's just me though.

My only idea (that isn't even complete) would somehow involve Jay/Alex finally burning the tapes. I dunno.... Confused

I think there are very few endings that can happen.

1: Jay, Alex and all those affected run away and forget about The Operator.
2: Jay, Alex and all those affected "lose".
3: The Operator is destroyed.
4: The Operator is captured/banished.

And personally, out of all these I think they only things that can happen is if they all run away, or they all "lose".

If they win, then it ruins the series. It then doesn't make him creepy at all.

I think they can win without the operator being destroyed or banished. Personally I would love if the story ended with them defeating the operator, only for him to come back in some way, like them talking to someone and that person goes, "You're not gunna believe this but I could've sworn I just saw a tall businessman with no face for a second."

I really like the general premise of Jay having to do something and constantly uploading footage and making tweets over a short period of time - that gradually get more and more corrupted - followed by a few days of silence and a new breakthrough. I like the idea of the series ending on a TTA video as well.

Honestly, even though some things are bound to go unexplained (and I know a lot of fans enjoy the mystery surrounding the series), it would be ingenious of the creators to lead up to the end with a couple of wham episodes that signal the series finale and then go out with a bang. This entails objects and motives being explained and, of course, major showdowns. Jessica reappears. Tim is unmasked for the first time in the present. TTA's identity is revealed. The pills, the bullet casing, who/what the hell Skully is, all the blood, THE ARK (my god the ark), all of that is covered. Some things should be left ambiguous, especially regarding the Operator and the ultimate outcome of everything.

An ending like that would make me able to die happy. Tie up most of the loose ends, but leave enough open for speculation.

But if they end the series without telling us who TTA is, I think I'll have to kill someone. XD

That'd be interesting, but it seems very cliche-horror-movie-ending to me. Plus i remember hearing the two talk about how they planned on ending season one in a similar way, but it seemed too depressing.

But the way they talked about ending it stopped any closure from being reached. so maybe that's what they meant by depressing.

I love this topic, and I'm really looking forward to some answers being finally revealed. Okay, my idea for an ending (very different to anything I've previously heard):

TTA will reveal to Jay and Alex what/where the Ark is, and explain that it is a method of passing on the 'curse' of Slender Man. The lads meet up with TTA who reveals himself as TiMasky, at the Red Tower. TTA/TiMasky climbs the tower with the Ark (I imagine it to be a crystal orb of some sort). The Ark produces a light which TiMasky shines into the trees, cue crazymad distortion as Slender Man appears in the treeline. Slender Man begins to walk forward in the clearing, as he does so 2 trees uproot and float towards Alex and Jay, who have stood motionless due to fear. Slender Man approaches the lads and TiMasky throws the Ark at their feet, at which point they are sucked into it, with Jay's camera dropping to the floor. The trees now (for lack of a better word) 'un-float' and plant themselves at the places where Jay and Alex were standing. TiMasky climbs down and picks up Jay's camera and the Ark, looks at Slender Man, nods, and Slender Man walks back into the treeline, at which point the two trees burst into flame. TTA/TiMasky will then upload the footage captured by his and Jay's camera, explains that the cycle is complete, and that 'animals must board the ark two by two'. We will then get the impression that TiMasky will also 'board the Ark' with someone else (possibly a previously captured Jessica), and the Slender Man will then go on to torment his next victim whilst recruiting another 'Masky' to find someone else to board the Ark with Slender Man's next quarry. Through this logic we will deduce that Ark is the source of Slender Man's power, thus the more on board the Ark, the more powerful Slender Man is.

I personally would be happy with an ending that has Jay and Alex or Rebecca (or Jessica, or whatever girl it is in the hotel) or even a different MH crewman, thinking that they were safe and could forget and move on, but have it be one of those endings where it seems happy, but you can tell that escape is only an illusion. For example, TTA leaves him something, before the climax of the series, and Jay throws it away afterwards thinking its just some ominous peice of his past, perhaps after opening it. He ditches it without analyzing it, but it hints, as a last laugh, that the Operator never left Jay at all.....
Or something like that. I see it as a win-win; it allows the characters to think they've escaped, and to end it, to see their winning reaction and also to allow the series to end in a way that escapes the usual "Lovecraftian compulsion to write while being devoured" sort of thing. But it also preserves the horror and creepiness as you real

Super-dark ending: Jay identifies and eliminates To The Ark, who'd been grooming him to be sacrificed to the Operator in the hope that that would allow TTA to get to the Ark - whether as a result of the Operator giving TTA the Ark as a reward, or simply because whilst the Operator is busy munching on Jay TTA can sneak by and get to the Ark while the Operator isn't looking.

However, that isn't enough. The Operator is still coming after Jay, and nothing seems to work to stop him. Jay learns the terrible truth once he uncovers Alex's lost tapes (or perhaps it's on one of the unmarked tapes from his memory block): the only way to get Slendy off your back is to make a deal, like Alex did. In Alex's case the deal was that he'd be left alone if he allowed Slendy to have his way with the MH cast, which resulted in memory gaps for all of them, Tim going all Masky, and several of them straight up vanishing (due to being dead). Alex hints that it would have been much, much worse if he hadn't given so many people to the Operator - if he'd only handed over one or two folks they'd almost certainly have died, but as it was the MH cast was big enough that Slendy's strange hungers were sated quickly. Of course, the condition of Alex's sacrifice was that he couldn't film any more.

The final entry depicts Jay driving to a dark, forested location. He stops suddenly when he finds the Operator, standing in the middle of the road. He does not run. He does not even speak. He leaves his camera on the dashboard and gets out the car. After a bit we see him dragging a gagged and bound Jessica out of the car and lays her at the Operator's feet. He talks to the Operator for a while; there's no sign of the Operator's "mouth" moving and we can't quite here what Jay is saying. After a bit Jay gets in the car and turns off the camera.

A series of splash screens state the following:

"It's over."

"The condition for my safety is that I cease producing videos concerning the Operator."

"I have been permitted to post this Entry to announce my retirement."

"The investigation is over. I still don't know who the faceless man is."

"At this point, I honestly don't care."

"I'm sorry, Jessica."

Last frame is an operator symbol.
