hi all.
long time reader. Wall of text about to crit for over 9000.

people have questioned why the masks lure Alex to the forest where they should know slendy could appear, instead of ambushing him at his home.
reading this made me wonder if this is wrong. perhaps they were using Alex as bait instead? to lure slendy out? at the end of 45, when they run away.. could they be organizing an attack? just a thought.

The masks they wear could also be to protect them from slendy, and not their identity from Alex/Jay others. maybe wearing the masks prevents slendy from seeing them in the woods etc? hence slendys appearance once Alex is there and attacked.
(sidebar: there is also the old fear that cameras will steal your soul. i cant stop thinking of this when watching MH)

I also believe that there has been things us viewers have missed in the cryptic TTA responses. (which was confirmed OOG to be true, but not game changing) when i read this, I thought about the response with the USS Arizona sinking. what was the significance of this? I tried reading back to when it occurred but couldnt find much agreed upon guesses.

I then did a bit of info searching on the USS Arizona.
here it is, for what it is worth (i know its season 1, and out of context.. but meh)

-Never actually went out to war
-was used with chaperones or escorts only
-Arizona was the newest state to join the USA at the time (tim is newest masked avenger?)
-only sunken ship that was not able to be salvaged
- as of 2011, 70 years after the explosion, oil still leaks from the hull and rises to the surface
-Crew survivors have superstition that the oil will continue to leak until all last survivors die.

Now given that the USS Arizona response featured Tims face, these facts can oddly intertwine with the story (and a little imagination)

To continue in this vein; in TTA's response "Attention" we have footage of the Panama Pacific International Expo. Which dates back to 1915. Which, of course was the same year the USS Arizona was launched. Though no other signs point towards that date.

Could the masks be slendy survivors? Continuiously adding more (Tim being the latest (as Arizona)) to their cause.
This could lead to the speculation that TTA is slendy. Slendy wanting jay to lead him to the ark. Which in result could posture the masks as the defiance, trying to ultimately stop jay and / or Alex, and in result slendy from achieving his goal (ark)
Seeing as the TTA response "fragments" seems to poke at Tim, it is hard to believe Tim is TTA (or a part of)and in this light, it could be seen as slendy mocking his past victims (brian? Tim) as always being broken, and "seen" by slendy. Again bringing the idea that the masks hide the wearers from slendy, which would also account for the events in the house where it seems that they are trying to give Jay a mask to wear.
Further support: response "warning" shows mask(s) in a strange state. Maybe captured, tranced, etc.

I went over all the TTA responses while writing this up, and if you watch them with this idea that TTA could be slendy, it sheds interesting light on some of the videos. Not to mention it would intertwine all the cryptic stuff i.e. binary, base64 code, hidden frames, etc. with the distortion reactions of the cameras. (slendy is technological? )

Obviously, this is just speculation on my part, as I never was under the TTA = slendy impression until writing this out, and rewatching a lot. I always assumed TTA was the masks just felt like looking at it from another perspective.

I agree that Slendy as TTA is nothing but far fetched.
While i was originally typing up my post, that was not even my thought.. it just came to that upon re watching the responses with that in mind.

I am in no way stating my napkin ideas as fact. Just thought i would throw that out there into the sea of Tim is TTA theorys.

Im not sold on Death for some reason.
Do we have any facts that any cast member has actually died?
as of right now, i have trouble believing death is a theme in this. (marble hornets) but i dont know why.

BTW i am new to posting, so i want everyone to know right now that i am a fence sitter. I will throw out ideas, but could flip flop at anytime.

Now that Hoody is back, I'm really starting to think that TTA/Hoody is Jay again. I know it doesn't make sense in some cases, particularly that one scene from season 1 where Jay is filmed going to Alex's car while Alex is off being slenderfied. However, that can be explained as Tim being behind the camera, and we all do seem to agree that Tim and TTA are involved somehow.

Then again, that still leaves open the fact that all the other times Jay runs into Tim, they don't seem to be "working together." Perhaps the Brian or Jessica theories do have some merit after all.

Umm so now if the the two maksy's are TTA can we confirm that they don't like Alex? So should we be looking for people who have a reason to not like Alex. They may even wanna bash his face in with a rock.
