After reading your reply, I can see you point a little more clearly. When reading your first post, I was thinking of operator as a single entity, and that the ark is some vital, single item that could end slendy stalking. But, if I'm reading you correctly now, having the ark being some sort of interchangeable anchor for slendy to thrvive makes your theory sound reasonable. And Alex is a dick.

As far as messages goes, I just find it odd (kinda funny) for Tim to stalk Jay's youtube channel and be like, "dammit, not again. *dons mask*" But TTA is obviously someone who IS stalking Jay on youtube, so it seems my reasoning disproves my point i.e. I fail : (

Do you by any chance have a theory as to why the operator is using people to post TTA videos? If it's so he can have a greater control of Jay, what happened to his other hosts? Are they dead? This isn't a challenge against your theory, I am just curious if you have a reasoning for the operator sending Jay his videos besides "I want to be inside of you."

The why is simple.

I don't think he has any other way to communicate with Jay outside of the videos that wouldn't make him useless to him. Keep in mind, if my theory is correct, the one person who has been latched onto fully so far (Alex that we know of for certain, though maybe others!) seems to completely lose his shit anytime The Operator is around. Jay, to this point, hasn't. He's paranoid sure, but he hasn't taken to drawing forests and Operator symbols and messages asking to be killed. I think it's because the Operator hasn't tried directly communicating with him enough to cause his brain to snap like Alex's has.

I believe that direct communication between the Operator and 'mere mortals' is impossible. I believe when he tries, he drives those he attempts to communicate with absolutely bonkers. And since it seems he is using Jay to get to Alex again (whether you believe my theory or not that seems to be a given amongst fans), lobotomized, tranced Jay or even crazy doodles Jay is of no use to him at all.

I suspect the Operator is a very visual creature, due to the fact that it seems he can 'see' in some sense. As such, he is better at translating his thoughts into imagery than written or verbal communication. This is why he uses videos with what seems like 'weird' imagery to us. To him it could seem perfectly understandable.

I believe that there is probably two forms of Slender-Possession if this theory turns out to be turn. There is 'the Ark', who isn't being actively haunted but definitely used as a minion and an anchor to this world, and "The Haunted", those like Tim who the Operator gets into the minds of and and then proceeds to junk up the place. I believe this is *why* Tim and the other Masks wear masks. If he can't see their eyes, he can't start pulling his craziness on them or force them to do anything they don't want to do. Obviously he is still capable of other things since Tim and the masks actively avoid him, but his main weapon likely comes down to temporarily possessing the minds of others and forcing them to do things they don't want to.

I can't say what happened to his previous hosts, though I think full fledged 'Arks' there's probably only been two-three of them (Alex, possibly Brian, and now Jay). I do suspect when people can't remember what they've been doing, is when he's had full control over them, so there is a good possibility Jessica has been taken control of at one point since she didn't seem to know where she was, but I couldn't say who else has been since we haven't really seen earnest convos with anyone but Jay,Jessica, and Alex.

 		Why would he actually be attempting to contact Jay, though? ToTheArk's videos have all seemed to be trying to get Jay to figure out more information about The Operator to get him out of this mess/get him to figure out what the Ark is. Are you going with the assumption, then, that the Operator is not malevolent?

I am going with the assumption that the Operator is a otherworldly being who isn't above using a human being as a pawn. He wanted Jay as his Ark because he is the closest thing to Alex and thought if he played all his cards right he could get Alex back into the game using Jay.

His malevolence or benevolence have little to do with it, except that if he needs Jay, he isn't going to squander him.
