Does Slender: The Arrival tell us anything new?

I'm really unfamiliar on this subject, and was just hoping the experts (you guys) would know.

I was wondering, since Troy and everyone were writers for S:TA, have they every confirmed that Slender: The Arrival takes place in a different universe/continuity than Marble Hornets? Have they confirmed that they take place within the same canon? Obviously if it's a different continuity, the rest of this post can basically be ignored.

If it IS related to MH, does it tell us anything new about that series, or the Operator in general? Is there a thread anyone can point me to where people discussed possible ties between the game and the series?

Thanks for reading.

It's a totally separate continuity.
Also there's already a thread discussing the game over in the Mythos forum. You should probably take any questions you have about it over there.

The arrival doesn't have anything to do with MH apart from the writing by troy, joseph, tim
The only thing canon in the MH series is TTA and the MH channel

Apart from having its story written by the creators of Marble Hornets, and sharing the character concept of the Slender Man, the game is unrelated to this series.

I suspect this is a troll.

But yeah, if you're just a curious newbie, The Arrival has nothing to do with MH except the fact it features Ol' Slendy.
