[Puzzle] PolyCross

I am working on a type of crossword that is played on the surface of regular polyhedra.

Video Example

Eventually this will be either magnetic tiles that enable the player to construct a polyhedron (see prototypes above), or a polyhedron with dry-erase in the appropriate locations. For now I unfolded a truncated icosahedron and created a version that easy to print. This will require either some good 3d visualization skills, or some construction with scissors and tape. I would appreciate any feedback.

Please don't post the solution. The puzzle is pretty much self-verifying, but if anyone wants me to check answers, please PM me. Oh, as you may guess, the solution shown in the above examples is not the same as the puzzle blow.

oh hey, I forgot to give you feedback! I downloaded the puzzle that same day, took about a day to get around to trying it, and at least an hour to analyze how it worked. In a way, the puzzle was to figure out HOW to approach it, but filling in the blanks after that was easy. I liked it. I would do more, if you have them.

I'm not sure whether making them into actual 3-dimensionals would help or hurt; it would certainly make my approach different. On a physical "ball"-thingie, I wouldn't have a way to jot down my intermediate steps, as I did on the paper layout. Perhaps if it were made of dry-erase surface and I used temp markers... but I was writing my notes across the lines *between* tiles on paper, probably not suitable for a physical object. I had not viewed your video before working on the paper version -- I had even wondered whether it could be turned into a Flash game. (Anyone out there remember the 3-D cube crossword, from Timehunt?)

It's funny the timing on this -- I was just pondering how much I like both crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and was pondering ways to combine word grids with physical pieces. I admire anyone's ability to create puzzles, not being very talented at it myself. btw, I did take a look at the other puzzle sample you posted (and now i forget in which thread I saw that), but I was not able to complete it.
