No, wait, not like. What's the phrase I'm looking for? Oh, yeah, "am reminded of my disgust at UF's obvious ignorance of blogs, as is evidenced by." Yeah, that's what I meant.

Yes, we're so utterly ignorant in choosing which WRITTEN BLOG fits in to the TOP 10 BEST VIDEOS.

Which is exactly the point. This thread completely ignores the fact that there even ARE blogs. As if there's absolutely no way that anything written in one could even remotely compare to anything in any vlog. *shrug*

Whatever. I guess you're right. All blogs are shit, and nothing in them could compare to a vlog. Oh, by the way, that reminds me! I've got a nomination.

Here's a novel thought: Pump up the blog threads and make them more active, as opposed to standing here looking piqued when no one has a clue what the fuck you're talking about in a "best videos" thread.

Dude, you don't get it. This was for videos. I wasn't saying ulteriorly that SINCE THE WORD BEST IS IN THIS GROUPING, I AUTOMATICALLY NAME VLOGS NATURALLY BETTER THAN BLOGS.

You're fighting a nonexistent war. You post a video from a... lackluster series and plug it as a valid point.

There are good written series and good video series. I am asking for decent one-off videos, which are worlds-easier to simply show someone then trying to explain a backstory to a friend and tell them to then READ THIS.

I am an avid reader and writer. If the written blogs are actually good, they'll earn their own. Same for the video series.

I asked the creators of TJA Projects what there Top 10 moments are and this was there answer:

Quote:
Tatiana and Aimee's Top Ten List:

1) EMH - Evan and his bat

2) Marble Hornets - Slender man on the porch scene

3) MLAndersen0 - Eric unconscious in the room

4) EMH - Wifin is a verb

5) Marble Hornets - Every Masky attack ever

6) TribeTwelve - Noah stabbin' that bush

7) EMH -Joke's Over [THE ENTIRE VIDEO]

Cool TribeTwelve - Every time "fuck" or some conjugation of it is uttered

9) Marble Hornets - Masky sleep-stalking

10) EMH - Can we just say everything? Yes. FUCKING EVERYTHING.

What video are they talking about with the ML Andersen?

Okay, my last post in this thread was not to be taken very seriously at all and was just a joke. I do have to say though, that I can understand why some thought written blogs should be included. The title of the thread is

Community Effort: The Best Of and the description given says:

'I think it would be interesting for the Slender-Mythos community to "determine" the (perhaps) Top 10 Best stand-alone moments / videos in the Slenderverse.'

Now in all fairness, it further states:

'Basically, let's say that we're making a "time-capsule" of current phenomena and we were "hired" to choose ten single videos on YouToube to chronicle / give an idea of the Slenderman.'

I can understand both sides of the argument but agree that an argument really isn't necessary. If someone wants to post their top 10 written blog moments, or include some in their list, then I say go for it.

I think part of this is that Carnahan also suggested possibly including the list of ten in the Wikipedia article, as kind of a "this is what Slenderman really is".

Thats a really good idea.

If we do it we should probably get the people at Slender Nation to contribute.

I'm actually not sure it's such a good idea. It's going to take a lot of finagling to even come close to a "best-of" inside a Wikipedia article. Maybe if somehow we could find a permanent link to it, say on someone's Tumblr, someone who perhaps may have led to this list's creation *cough cough*, then we could link to the completed list in the Wikipedia "related links" section.

Dosn't Wikiapedia have its own video service?

Not that I know of, and you're missing the point. We can't just add a "10 Best Moments" list to Wikipedia, because it's against the rules. It has to be added in a way that isn't against the rules.

I did originally intend on making it videos-only, but I guess text should be considered. I just didn't appreciate the fact that someone came in, making this a debate, haha. No harm done. We all reacted.

As far as reaching out to SN goes, I say, let them browse this if they want to. Their list will be MH Entries 1 - 10, etc. (<3 SN, trolling.)

But yes... if you have "favorite" moments from blogs, go for it.
