this + the poem today suggest we're missing something.

i'll start working on the poem and , also, look closer on the news in the journal.

on a side note: how many of you are just in opposition? from what I've seen, some (maybe most of you) have 2 characters, one on each side.

I don't have any opposition characters, nope. *whistles*

Yeah i was reaching because its different from the other graffiti, and on a piece of wood they could have put up.

"Fog is definitely in need of clearing, Sir Arlequin. We are struggling to give you the keys to clear it. Do our efforts fall on deaf ears?"

Could the codes on the wall be entered somewhere as a key?

The Stop3Points website has been updated.
They posted a small blurb about how they had a great turnout at their protest today. This leads me to ask, did I miss a meet-up event?

No, not that I know of. The next step seems to be to solve s3p's puzzle. But I have no clue where to start.

Just curious, has anyone friended the 'Declan Cole' on FB, or followed the person of that name on Twitter? Probably no connection...

But I am going to run some of the other in-game names through FB search, as certain ARG's do use social networks as enhancements to their websites.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or not, but if you go the the article http://www.cityjournalpost.com/colefusion-quiet-on-recent-vandalism/ there is a comment by Andrea Winterspoon and when you click her name it brings you to nowhere.com, which fails to resolve.
Not sure if there is any significance there or not, but it sure is odd.

I can't say that I have but it's a good idea and someone should try it. I will try tonight.

Also, I am very disappointed in Proto-arm's performance in the polls over at Colefusion. Sad

I really hope I get promoted... please vote if you're in product dev!

Coffee Welcome to uF dweebgirlie. Emailed S3P for more info on Wayne Harrison. Their cryptic reply's first line is imo a hint for solving their video's code:

S3P in an email wrote:
When in doubt, hash it out.

As for the murder, let's say simply that Wayne was a very good plumber. Our friends in CF knew of his work. Judging by his (un)timely demise, it's possible they knew of its maker, too.

Had tried a few hashes with no joy 'tho didn't use "nein" with the string. Re "sides": am just intrigued to know who killed Wayne & why, wherever that may lead.

Just recieved an email from Clara asking for us to design a poster to spread the word against Colefusion.

1. Your design should be scalable and look good in both colour and greyscale on a sheet of regular paper (8.5 x 11 inches).

2. Your slogan should capture the spirit of free internet

It also linked to a Picasa album:

ETA:And the link didnt work here but it did from the email.

Heres the only pic:

still no results with the codes

best guesses:

1. take two and two
and a shred of text
and recombine
see what comes next.

=> 229 ; two two nine or twenty two nine (for this, you can anagram it to: tweet tony winn - no relevant tony winn ) or two hundred twenty nine (no relevant anagrams found)

I have been mostly lurking, but trying to keep up. I think there are two puzzles to be worked on here. My belief is that "two and two and a shred of text" refers to four strings of hexadecimal digits and the short bit that has been referred to as "nein". (I'm not convinced that is says "nein", or that it should be read upside down, but I don't have a better theory for now.)

The other puzzle is the coded messages that Mary Smith is sending in her stories. The stories themselves seem to be nonsense -- I think it is the headlines that matter. I believe they are anagrams, but their length makes them difficult to solve. I think it has been pointed out elsewhere that "Defence Hostiles Rush Union" includes "colefusion", and makes little sense on its own. Likewise, "Refugees hit unlit tins" is gibberish.

The line "I know anaconda elicits sluggers," "But this is really something else." is a solid clue that we are supposed to decipher. It means:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Declan Cole is working against us.

How do you get THAT out of Anaconda Elicts sluggers? Is it an anagram?
