OK, that was awesome!
Met up with the P.I., I gave him the code word and he gave me a piece of paper. He wasn't too hard to find, he was dressed up in costume like a typical P.I., trenchcoat, black hat, sunglasses. Leanning against a pillar reading a newspaper. Looking like Sam Spade.
On the paper he gave me was the title of a book with the dewie decimal number. I tried to talk to him, but he uttered a message to give to Kate then walked away. So I went hunting. Finally found the book and found the package inside.

It was a file folder with quite a bit in it. Some documents, a CD and lots and lots of pictures.
I'm at work right now so not only do not have time to look at it, I don't have time to upload the pictures I took. I'll do all that tonight. I'll try to scan all the pictures and documents. There is quite a bit there, this might take a while...

I sent Kate a confirmation email:

Showing the pictures to a co-worker we noticed a secret message on the back of the pictures... Of course...
Every picture had a date in one corner and some dots and dashes on another corner. Morse code obviously. I'll write down all the info and scan it for you guys now, give you guys a crack at it.

Wow, what a crappy scanner we have here at work. Sorry for the poor quality guys.
I wasn't going to scan all the pictures, so I just wrote down all the info on one side of a page (date and translated morse code letter)and I put the back of one photo as an example on the other side of the page.

Again, sorry for the poor quality.

We're dying, of course, to know what is in the photos! Good idea, Christien, to get your coworkers involved in solving the puzzles... if you can get the boss interested, he/she will forgive you for doing ARG's on company time, lol.

The photos are just a series of black and white shots of the gray man walking around the City. Much like those on Kate's blog site.
I think the real find is the back of the photos.

If you out the morse code letters on the back of the photos in order of the dates of the photos, it spells out two words

Possibly what you found refers to the exact nature and location (?around the "Pons" area?) of the murder victims' post-mortem 'brain-drain' removals? EDIT: Also like Rich's idea, too.

I'm puzzled by this message -- is it a message to Kate from the PI, or to us from the PI? The PI took the pictures and dated them, and presumably he's the one who wrote down the codes. So what are we/Kate supposed to do with it? Are the codes a warning from the PI, or something he saw/heard while he was taking the pictures?

I just scanned all the material. Some of the scans are crooked 'cause I had my daughter on my lap at the time and she playing with the pics as I was trying to scan them.

On the CD was an MP3. But I tried playing it on a couple of computers and it just wont play, I keep getting a WMP error.

I'm on my way out, I'll upload a copy of the MP3, see if you guys can figure it out. I'll come back later tonight and try to give you guys a hand solving it.
