Thoughts on what "Intermission" might mean:

- Since the intermission usually comes around halfway during a performance, TTA is saying that Jay is about halfway through the tapes in terms of finding material of actual significance. I mean, even if there's seven months' worth of stuff there and this is towards the beginning, it'd be pretty incredible for the whole seven months to be this action packed; I think that either there were significant amounts of downtime in which just plain not much happened or Jay's investigations were curtailed fairly early on in the 7 months, so he only spent (for example) 1 month of time actually continuing the investigation and 6 months or so in Slenderlimbo.

If this theory is right and the intermission marks the halfway point measuring from the start of the tapes from the safe, and Jay has found half the important material on the tapes, then we can expect Jay to run out of cool shit to show us on the tapes at around Entry 47 or so - maybe less if Jay's review of the tapes is interrupted or if he's able to dump a large amount of content into an entry, maybe more if the entries are chopped up a bit more or if Jay slips in an update on his current situation at some point. At that point I suspect Jay will have learned enough to decide what he wants to do and the final act of the season will involve him enacting that decision.

- The "performance" in question is not the material on the tapes, but Jay's experiences since waking up in the hotel. It seems more than possible that Jay returning to himself (or, as might be the case, spontaneously losing 7 or so months of memories overnight) and then waking up in a hotel room next to Jessica and presumably under the oversight of Masky (since he intervened when Jessica and Alex decided to leave the hotel) was stage-managed in some way - as though this whole second phase of MH has been a performance in which Jay has become the unwilling lead actor. (Hell, in Jessica they even gave him a female lead/damsel in distress.) This "intermission" is an indication that Jay's time is running out and soon enough the curtain will fall on him for the last time.

If this theory is right and the intermission marks the halfway point of season 2, we can expect season 2 to end at around Entry 54 - again, perhaps a shade less if there are more substantial entries towards the end, perhaps a shade more if the entries are more fragmentary and cover less material. (Entry 50 would be a nice round number to end on.)

The color distortion in the footage at the end reminded me of "Exit". Both videos used a filter that overemphasized any darker colors as black without transitional colors. You'll notice there are no dark grays in "Intermission".

Both videos have similar themes ("I saw you in that past footage you just posted"), so it's interesting TTA used similar color distortion when manipulating the footage.

I definitely like that TTA was added to the picture as a cutout. It seems symbolically important. Is the cutout implying he teleported there, or that he wasn't fully present? Or, does adding TTA into the picture imply that even though Jay didn't see him, TTA had been there the whole time?

So we're pretty sure that in the drawings, the figure is added on later. But what about that tree? That must be significant too. It's almost like he's saying "This wasn't here before, but now it is and shit's gonna go down".

I really hate to bring this up but hopefully before someone else thinks its a mask. The image someone, to busy to check who or quote, thought was a mask looks to be a close up of a leaf. You can make out the ground and you can tell that the object does not move with it. Looking more I see a twig its attacked to... I am going to bet the twig is attached to a tree.

Again hate to bring it up but it may prevent theories from being made or thought true over a leaf and not the real thing.
