@Jane: thank you for posting this!
I've been thinking from the beginning that Leyda Cupe looked like just as much of an anagram as Revalistic (for relic vitas). Even tried 'leydacupe.txt, .dat, sys, etc. for the 'device' name on STIES. All to no avail.
Still, glad to know someone else was on that same wavelength (wish I had a foil hat, too, lol).
I tried running 'leyda cupe' through a few anagram deconstructors, and nothing that came back made sense.
But, now, with your post on LIDA and 'control', there may be something more solid to work from when looking at the deconstructor's results.
Mucho thanksias, Jane![/wave]

Re: LIDA Machine Other wise know as LIDA device

I am going to post this now, a bit early... as I may not be around much these next few weeks and I wanted to leave this with you to ponder on.
I have been thinking lately on Dr. Cupe, the whole russian thing RF/ VLF signals and this device.
You all know my penchant for Tesla devices and my facination with HAARP, and foil hats
There was a device that was patented in the US called the LIDA machine. The soviets tested electro magnetic effects on the mind.
It was a Soviet device that utilized low-frequency radio waves to:
Sooth the mind
Create harmony in biological effects..eg: performance etc.
Control the mind.
Carried information, projected pictures
Woodpecker effect.
Mind control utilizing the basic resonance of PHI.
I leave this here with a open question, is it related to our device?
Is Leyda Cupe a play on words? Does "control" have more to do with this whole concept.
Thanks for your time
P.s Maybe i'll see one of you in the theater =)

Food for thought...Foil not included I went to that tagruato website and visited this page from the site...
http://www.tagruato.jp/slusho_subsidiaries.php
Click on the link to the Slusho Webpage and tell me and the rest of us, what you think about it.
Also, in the Super 8 movie trailer, near the end of the movie trailer, the kids are watching either the complete moive or a clip of the movie that they found at the train crash site....and it shows the creature. Can you say "What the Hell?!"
"I saw it...and nobody believes me". "I believe you". He believes the guy because he saw the same thing in the movie clip. And the kids can't tell anyone, because they are afraid....of the military!
The creature does not have tenticals, it has a tounge.....like a chameleon.
If you look at the clouds in Super 8 Movie Site or Poster...you will see the face(s) of the creature...I count about 5 of them...maybe 6. How many flavors do the pops have?

Device Here's the texture of that device from portal 2.
Looks slightly different but maybe it's another version.
There's a skale on the backside.
I wish i could read that production plate on it. The only thing i see clearly is a orange/red "J" in a square, maybe a company logo.
Does anybody recognize it?

on that texture file In this orientation I see what I think is a "AA" coppertop battery near the top left.
Do we have anyway to talk to Josh?
He's trying to figure a way to recharge the device, but it looks like he may just need to swap the battery.
Rocket Rob "You can't see just six". What led you to the Tagruato site at this point? I wouldn't be suprised if something there changed since 1-18-08, (parafun never really went anywhere) but just wonder how you arrived there, now.

Was reading some of the posts on this Super 8 forum and there was a posting to that tagruato website. So I was wondering how many flavors and could that mean how many aliens. how many sides (planes) to a cube....six, right? At this point I'm just posting my thoughts, so someone can agree with me or say no, you're going in the wrong direction. I noticed that there are 5 flavors for poppeteers...not six. Am I right?
I'm just looking for connections...how does this relate to that...and thoughts like that.
I'm new here, so I may be retreading on old thoughts and scenarios.

I think (if we are looking at the same spot) that that is more of some type of microchip. But I may be wrong...it is late and this continued exposure to foil is not just starting to seep to my brain but also starting to cut off circulation.

Sound file and portal 2 Wondering if anyone has noticed this The song in Portal 2 by "the national" has a familiar melody. Plus, is there anything to the Moby Dick quote. Has anyone else heard it?

So, with Mystery Man gone, Sarah missing and Josh on the road, this leaves no working site for us to get anything from.. am I right?
I mean, Sara cant post on Revalistic and Josh wont post there .. who would he post to?
HLM has been dead since January and the PDP11, while still up and running , has nobody to unlock or post new stuff.
So, how are we supposed to know whats going on in Ohio?
This to me is the biggest problem with this game so far. Most of it has happened behind closed doors with us learning about it after the fact and not being given anything we can solve to move us to the next step..
The only thing I can think of is that we have missed some other site somehow, but with the small amount of info coming from this ARG, it seems unlikely.
So, where do we look for the next update?

I was thinking the same thing - How are we going to be privy to the goings on in Ohio? Josh is heading the the coordinate site and apparently meet Prof Evil to exchange the GRTM and everything else he has for Sarah. How does that involve us over the internet? I just don't know how this is going to proceed with us involved.

Whoever it is that has Sarah was able to communicate with Josh through revalistic.com - so if something happens that Josh can't get his coordinates right or if he shows up at the right place but the 'kidnapper' doesn't keep his end of the deal, maybe Josh will try to communicate right back at him through revalistic.com.
If there's another site out there that we've missed, I'd think we'd get our butts kicked in the right direction to find it. At least I hope so - why take the time and effort to put it out there and then have it go unnoticed?
Maybe we need to be looking for some southwestern Ohio coordinates that we can double check - like Capt. Coop recommended at RP.

I wish Josh would have told the guy to F-off. and if he ever wants a chance at seeing his precious little device he better let Sarah go without a problem or he's breaking the thing into a million pieces. Burning the million pieces and scattering the ashes of the million pieces around the country. Since he apparently has all this money to drive around looking for clues. That's what I wish would have happened. But on another note that does seem like a good idea Rocket. I think at this point that is really all we can hope for.

I assumed the southwestern coordinates was a reference to the fictional town for the movie Lillian, OH. Is this wrong?

In the words (kinda) of the famous philosopher Billy Joel...
This could be wrong. This could be right. This could be crazy.
In his last post to Sarah, Josh said
...weirdly, I just noticed four more coordinates on my map. In Ohio of all places. They seem to be tied to different days, like whatever they're marking is constantly moving.
If he weirdly just noticed them I wonder if they just showed up there recently - like someone has got a hold of his map and added them for his viewing pleasure. And there are 4 of them - so more than one place. Is he using the train route map? Is there some other map we haven't seen? He did know somehow to go to a remote location deep down in a cave in WV. Maybe this location is also on his map. More questions than answers for me.
