in that article it mentions that it was found to be BS. HOnestly I think it ends up being a video camera with bane being recorded for observation at some institution (maybe arkham).

 		I took it to be a video camera as well. That with the chanting, which sounds like "This is battle" to me, made me think he looked like some kind of cage fighter.

 		Im super stoked about a TKDR arg, i hope it happens!

I listened to the audio on loop for like 20 mins, and to me it sounds like they're chanting "this is arkham, arkham!" for the first 14 seconds, after that I dunno. Thats just what it sounds like to meee

Is was shot on April 14th 2011 by a Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

The full exif data can currently be found here.

Seems it was modified a few times prior to upload, nothing vast though.

Hey all,

This is a Canon 5D MKII, the camera used to take the photograph. Notice to our left of the lens (camera right) there is a small infra red sensor and I think below it an indicator LED for timer shots.

Imagine the photo is being taken in a dark room with source light coming from above, the lights you are seeing then is a reflection of this camera (perfect flip image) of the source light catching in the lower area of the lens (or a reflection of the lit subject) and the LED catching the light also. Fits perfectly.

Sorry for the individual posts but just thinking about these things randomly. The sound file definitely sounds like chanting but when sped up 200 percent, it sounds very much like a train.

Train rhymes with Bane?

Oh I just wanted to say its kinda crazy how our minds work to connect the dots... Igor (as in Igor Cezar) is every evil mastermind or crazed doctor's side kick or assistant yeah... sent to do the physical stuff... with a stretch kinda like Bane to Joker at least in the most recent Arkham stuff I've seen... who is Igor to (Cesar) Joker? Bane? Razz But... get this... TV Joker's pseudonym? Clavier Ankh. As in... Pratchett yes where Igor's are always ready to lend a hand where needed... in Ankh-Morpork?

EDIT: ok so i ramped up the brightness and zoomed in to try and make it clearer (ive left in a bit of bane so you can see the scale its at roughly)

I agree with cam. The larger "light" looks like a cat's eye. Perhaps Catwoman will be more feline in Nolan's Gotham.

 		oh for god sake it's not a damn cat's eye. if nolan intended for it to be it wouldn't just look like a blurry light. it'd be the same thing if a picture was taken of anne hathaway in the catwoman suit on street with a stop light behind her and people would be all OMGWTFTHAT'SBANESEYE.

whilst i appreciate your opinion i think its way to early to have a go at people for coming up with ideas, it could be all manor of things and it could be nothing at all maybe we should wait and see rather than lay into each others opinions

Thing is, while he was kind of a dick about it, he is right. That is NOT a cat's eye... and the picture isn't getting brighter, and there is nothing special about the twitter accounts the script on @thefirerises can't properly reach. I really wish those rumors would die because that is just people's imaginations running wild.

The camera theory is interesting. It would certainly indicate there is someone that Bane is looking at having their picture taken as well... Interesting to think about. Can't say I'm 100% on board, but it certainly makes sense.

I definitely want to look into those Igor Cesar/Fire of Asshurbanipal theories. I have no opinion one way or another as of now, but they are fun to think about, if not a huge stretch with the little we know.

 		As well as the chanting there appears to be another audio stream in the background that can be heard briefly right at the end of the clip. My initial thoughts were binary or Morse Code using the chants as 0's and 1's or Dots and Dashes.
