[Trailhead] The Miracle Mile Paradox Kickstarter Campaign
Kickstarter Funding for a 14 Week ARG this coming Summer

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/susanbellfilm/the-miracle-mile-paradox-arg

I've found this Kickstarter about a week ago and decided to back the project just a few days back. They definitely have a large and talented team, and deserve to have a shot at running this ARG. Not to mention the ARG seems to do with fancy olden day gadgets and lots of IRL interaction, which are pluses in my field.

EDIT: Updated this thread since we've got some trailheads in here.

[TRAILHEAD] mmParadox

I'll post this here - although not sure if this should be the start actually of its own trailhead topic - But I too am following the mmParadox and want to play.

So far I have found three possible entryways and I think there are more - if anyone wants to share

1. The main character so far is Rex Higgs. I am following him on Twitter at @RexHiggs. He's started tweeting and seems to be collecting some interesting objects (not sure if those have meaning right now or should be listed).

2. He took out a Craigs List entry here - http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/laf/2924733764.html - it has a couple pieces of information and could be a way to get you to Rex Higgs (and mentions JH Winthrop which I have not checked out yet, but looks like might be another stepping stone) and a website www.enchantingandobsoletus.com - which is not live yet, but I am a watching Smile and an email

3. There are some flyers that seem to be showing up with a QR code and an interesting logo/image - if anyone finds one and wants to post where they find them - I am curious where these things will show up (is this more local, regional oriented or will have a larger geographical interaction) - you can see one on the facebook page for the mmParadox (which right now seems more to be supporting the ARG campaign although you can pick up websites, images and other trailhead info that could get you started). I also posted a flyer image in my blog entry about the mmParadox

So, not too much more, yet, that I know of, have others found a flyer or other links?

The craigslist posting mentioned Nick Dyfodol, whom I'm not sure whether it's just someone helping out with the promotion or a character to be brought up once the game starts. But, here's his Twitter tag is @ndyfodol if anyone wants to follow this potential.

For JH Winthrop, I didn't yield a lot of materials just via a normal Google search. Maybe I'll devote more time to this later on.

EDIT/UPDATE:
Out of curiosity, I did a search for mmParadox on youtube and found the Kickstarter campaign video: http://youtu.be/rJkaUVrm83g Supposedly there will be more information published in German according to the video description that's to be posted 8 AM at 4/5 on http://www.argreporter.de/2012/04/the-miracle-mile-paradox/

Seems fun. But I'm afraid that I'll only be able to do the online part because I don't live in or anywhere near LA. D:

Me as well, although it looks like there will be much to do online as well as offline - hopefully some LA people will be able to attend the events and post here or other places

Bumping this since there are 12 hours left in the Kickstarter campaign, they've got 90% of funding and they only need $1000 left! A new supporter will be matching all pledges in these last few hours so if you can, please give.

and following Thaddeus Westland on Twitter - he is talking to a Lauralee Simcoe (I'm a Corporate Communications Assistant at a multinational corporation (can't say which one!)) - https://twitter.com/#!/LauraleeLuv and her facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Lauralee.Simcoe

Also - Arleen Tipka has LinkedIn account - http://www.linkedin.com/in/arleentipka

And Geoff Runming - Senior Systems Engineer at Agent Intellect Corp (AIC) - https://twitter.com/#!/RunGeoff

I am trying to make a twitter list of all of the related accounts - if anyone else has a list, let me know, makes life much easier Smile

I keep editing this post (for now - should make a formal contact list at some point) but it looks like many of the AIC people have Facebook Profiles, Twitter Accounts, LinkedIn profiles and so far found one Pinterest account... other social media links?

Twitter talk

Well as it looks like things are starting to move forward - a couple mentions on Twitter that might be nothing or something Wink

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

via twitter and the last few days

Thaddeus Westland was talking about a brilliant idea and then it blowing up in his, or his assistant's face (no idea yet who assistant is, anyone know?) and then made comment about thunderstorms kicking up gas from the Tar Pits

Lauralee Simcoe mentioned having to stay late to send out memos regarding keeping the air vents closed and not liking the smell from the Tar Pits coming into the office and not understanding what the tar pits have to do with their financial business (plus she had a tweet about passing the LA County Museum of Art all the time)

Nick Dyfodol told Rex he'll let his contact in Bristol know all systems are a go and that Harlow (a contact Nick had) backed down but he (Nick) found a backup referral

Erinn Eilertson has a data set going that is bizarrely dependent on the weather

Appoline Amicus mentions first week in Big Apple and misses LA

Rex and Nick had a few different discussions early on (Nick seems to have contacts to help Rex get parts) and Rex has shared a number of pictures of assorted parts and gadgets

and there have been a few mentions of power out in different areas - might tracking the power outages be a good idea????
