[RAGE] Address to Mods: Posting Review Settings

Dearest mods,

I am relatively new here and thus my words have no weight, but I do hope you'll take them into consideration anyway.

Marble Hornets updated about half an hour ago.

I have spent the last fifteen minutes attempting to make a post in the new entry's thread.

This forum forces me to "review my post" ever and over again because other people are posting in the thread. That's all well and good, but in a thread that moves that quickly, it's ridiculous to even try to "review your post".

I humbly request that this ridiculous "feature" be removed, as it genuinely hinders people's ability to post in fast-moving threads. It is extremely frustrating to try to contribute to a thread and have to attempt repeatedly (and in quick succession, with no waiting between attempts) to make a post.

I understand your frustration but this is a discussion forum. You're hardly having a conversation anymore if what other people are posting at the same time as you in the same thread as you is irrelevant to you. Confused

It's still a discussion if I'm trying to reply to what someone said, but I can't be part of the discussion because so many other people are posting at once that mine can't get through. It's ridiculous.

For that matter, read one of those threads: People frequently just wait until things have slowed down (around page 20 or so) and then start posting. They don't tend to read the 20 pages of whirlwind posts, either. They just chime in whenever whether their post is "relevant" or not.

Edit: Added to my statement.

Personally, I love the "feature". It keeps me honest and has resulted in my deleting a ton 'o posts over the years. Posting duplicate information is always in bad form.
The "Look at me!" Blasters can be quite annoying/childish.
Maybe after the posting barrage subsides, you can reason with the group and make them understand that they're all just saying the same thing, wasting time and resources and exacerbating the problem by not doing as you do (reading the posts).
If you check out other, more mature areas of the site, you'll see that this isn't how most of them operate; Even when there is something really big happening.

Also... If the message is urgent and to just one or a few folks, PMs work well.
