So following this. Despite limited experience with the mythos this has started out and progressed more realistically than usual (mostly because of how much of a head start they had before an actual sighting occurred, and the characters seem human and act as they would on a regular basis).

I also really like the throwbacks to the original SA thread like the child abduction - sure, other Slendervlogs have noted children being stalked, but was it ever recognized on a scale like this? Slendy is actually snatchin' yo kids up, and quite a few it seems.

Mostly, I am not being creeped out.

Mostly, I am just learning how beautiful and strange Scotland is.

I think that will change when this picks up speed for true, but for now I am following it mostly for gorgeous pictures. Is that wrong?

No, I'm really enjoying the photo blog just for what it is too. Some of the stuff is really kinda cliché, but hey... it's pretty.

Well--I was hesitant to word it like that, but I was pretty certain that folks would know what I meant in a general way.So--let me be more specific and say English accent as opposed to Scottish brogue. Very Happy

Who are we to tell you that you are wrong for what you enjoy or get out of another's art or creation? In fact--I admire that you made this assertion...it shows that some of us are not just out for the immediate pay-offs and scares. Some of us enjoy and appreciate the slow burn and the build up and can enjoy what we're given in the meantime for what it's worth.....

AlthougH I'm kinda annoyed that they do the whole "camera only points at ground while walking" thing, because it seems weird to me that a person who studies photography would film like she's completely incapable of operating a video camera.

Aw well.

Also:

Quote:
"Wish I'd developed this roll earlier… Would have known that my camera was broken about a year ago, instead of finding out after shooting an important college project. You live and learn.

But they still look cool so let's post the failures anyway and pretend that I meant to do this."

I'm expecting either Slendy to appear on at least one of the pics, or that it turns out that the camera was only broken from a certain point onwards... maybe since June 13th... Shocked

Or watch the Barrowman in his natural habitat accent.

Well--this is news because here I was assuming they were British.Having said that--for ME personally--my hearing has declined quite a bit over the years (old age) so trying to hear or discern what someone is saying even if I'm with them has gotten increasingly difficult for me.It's even MORE of a factor when watching Slendy Vlogs, which is one reason that I am very indebted to anyone who transcribes entries or I'd be missing a whole LOT.
Beyond that--and this has nothing to do with anything or anyone per se--I have a problem with certain accents and brogues. It isn't PERSONAL--it's just something I struggle with and always have. When I was in my late teens--I was a camp counselor one summer and there were a few people there that were head counselors who were of Scottish descent and I had a bitch of a time understanding anything that they said.
Also--Slendy vlogs inherently suffer from certain things that 'impose' on the audio just by their sheer nature--like wind, ambient noise, and anything else that obscures the clarity of the audio and certain nuances.
Luckily--even if I miss a certain amount of dialogue--I can usually piece together a modicum of what's going on and most creators give us enough info visually that I can usually get the gist of the entry.
Sorry for the wall of text Smile

Didn't mean it as a mean jab. Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was aiming for gentle teasing I guess?

To be totally fair, my boss is first generation Greek-Canadian and I have some trouble understand what he is trying to say over the phone sometimes. And our city has had a massive influx of people from Central America with thick spanishy accents that hardly know English so I've been getting better at pulling out key words. Like the guy who always orders Cheesy Bougalaise. That is 100% how he pronounces the names of one of our subs, the Cheeseburger Hero. How he got Cheesy Bougalaise out of that I shall never know. It will forever be a mystery.

Wow that got off topic. Hmmm, I've transcribed videos before, maybe I'll start doing more...

I'm quite liking this one so far. Besides, Scottish Slender Man, I like that, too.

Good grief, tall Slender Man was tall. o_O

Lots of stuff on Twitter just now:
Quote:
In my kitchen, guess who's in the field outside? I'm getting a photograph of him this time.

Quote:
Got him. Jamie, son, you're just being paranoid. There's no way he knows where you live.

Quote:
He's just in the field. He is free to just stand there.

Quote:
Posting picture to Tumblr, hang on.

Quote:
Oh, what the hell? Of all the times my camera could break, now? Really? Gonna get another.

Quote:
He's gone now. Well, here's what's left of the picture... http://t.co/y5v7f7d

Sorry, that was a lot of quotes. But she posted all of that in the course of about fifteen minutes. The last was posted just a few minutes ago.

I like how the build-up in this is very subtle. She isn't freaking out yet (although, I'd say she has every right to). This just feels very... normal, which is an interesting take.

The Slendy in the most recent pic is nowhere near as tall as the other Slendy....

Edit: Well, he could be, it's an odd perspective and there IS the distortion to take into account.
