The "Millennium" Link is a long shot, so I am working multiple angles (Millennium, Wrigley, Five, Signal) Here are the findings so far;

The List wrote:

- Los Angeles, CA- Millennium Biltmore Hotel
- Phoenix, AZ- unknown
- Las Vegas, NV- Millennium Staffing Services
- Portland, OR- Music Millennium
- Dallas, TX Millennium Dallas Airport
- Washington, DC Millennium Stage, Kennedy Center
- Nashville, TN Millennium Maxwell House (Hotel)
- Chicago, IL- Millennium Park
- Denver, CO- Millennium Bridge
- Orlando, FL- Mall at Millennia
- Seattle, WA- Millennium Tower (apartments?)
- Boston, MA- Millennium Place
- New York, NY Millennium UN Plaza
- San Francisco, CA- Millennium Tower OR Millennium Restraunt
- Atlanta, GA- Millennium Gate

I'll keep you updates as I get more info... this was constructed using my google-fu... it's not an exhaustive list. A lot of the East Coast cities have a "Millennium Hotel" location nearby... is that something that could be relevant?

I'll keep you updated on the other leads I'm following.[/b]

Just thought of something... how are they selecting the volunteers to be given phone instructions?

It must be either:
a) based on city listed as where you live; all get instructions, only one gets drop
b) the iris will open at 2PM and the first to select that city is the appointed volunteer.

A seems like a bad choice, since it doesn't take into account people who live in suburbs, or availability of players. I'm kind of leaning towards B functioning like getting screening passes; you put in your username and your city, and then receive texts.

Could be a potential wrench in the gears, since you'll want to be at a computer at 00 and THEN be able to go to the location. (Though if only one person gets instructions, it's not really a "race". I'm guessing however that you reg for your city, THEN race to follow clues fastest.) Depending on how they thought this out, it could be a big freakin' wrench...

I am assuming that it will be C) that the phone is used once you get to the drop point, but I am just assuming that off of what Flynn Lives did. And I didn't see anyone mention it, but for FL, the drop was smack dab in the middle of the UCF campus. Unfortunately, even though I am not that far from Orlando, I won't be able to make it. I can be net support if needed though.

SF update....

I was poking around for Wrigley's near San Francisco, CA in maps, and a yellow "balloon" popped up, which would have been annoying, but it was a targeted ad, and it was called Embarcadreo Confrence center...
Look into it. It could be a hint.

@Los Angeles guys: Just so you know, i have no mode of transportation once i get to LA [i take the bus everywhere], so if this is going to require a lot of moving about, i think itd be best if i just helped from home
but, im a decent runner, so any locations in LA within a 3 mile radius are no prob =P

Ugh, finally caught up to the 10 new pages in two hours...

I can no longer do Orlando. I have an exam 30 minutes after the countdown finishes. Not going to happen.

I hate being geographically useless.

Given the circumstances, I can only be net support (at least try to be).

humanpreservationproject.com redirects to testsubjectsneeded. So maybe they own the site for later?

Website (when spelled correctly) = http://www.embarcaderocenter.com/ec/

I believe this is where Flynn Lives (the Tron ARG done by 42E) had an event. A very good possibility.

Well, it is around 6 hours to Seattle for me.

Roadtrip!

If I can't find someone to go with me, I will be internet support. Just need to know if we want to communicate through these forums, twitter, an IM, or IRC.

These cities all seem to have a lot of common elements, so figuring out which ones preclude themselves to our venture will be difficult. It may be worth nothing but the time it passes... however you never know,
Here's for Wrigley;

The List wrote:

- Los Angeles, CA- Kendren Community Mental Health Center (old Wrigley Field Location)
- Phoenix, AZ- Wrigley Mansion (Closed for renovations?)
- Las Vegas, NV- Big League Dreams Wrigley Field Replica
- Portland, OR- Wrigley-Cross Books (long shot...)
- Dallas, TX unknown

.... eh from there Wrigley slips into nothing... just a lot about news articles for Wrigley Field itself... I didn't bother finishing the list after three dead ends.

I'll try and keep thinking but I'm gonna imagine each city is going to have a unique setup and drop point for their "volunteer"

I am starting to feel like I am the only person in Portland doing this... oy!

I think that for Vegas, it was decided that the most likely place was The Stratosphere.

Royce - if you still need internet support, I have someone who could do it at around 1 your time, and I'd be willing to help until then.

Also, someone asked who the competition is - I have no idea, but I'm gonna do some recon of various blogs and stuff, look at Google and see who's posted about going to various cities. If Arg.net has a forum, can someone check that?
