I have been asked to provide net support, like I did for the Tron book drops. I've not been entirely up to date on this one, so what's the best place to go for a quick catching up?

oops, I should have stated I've done the minimum, logged in and created an account, got my helicopter thingie. I'm just wondering if there's more info than what is obviously displayed on those sites.

Btw, my twitter account is @eolith. I'll try to keep track of as much as possible. Hopefully they'll roll from west to east again so it's all staggered.

WHOA hello, thirty-odd pages of new posts! I've been catching up since earlier this afternoon...and like several others, I will be pretty much useless for this first test. Sad I can't even provide air support because I'll be suffering through the busiest day of the month at work. So, again, I'll have a lot of catching up to do Thursday evening. Hopefully there will be a lot of web content to play with when I get home.

And hopefully we will have all fifteen packages accounted for! I noticed we don't have anyone for Denver. Well, I may not be totally useless. I have a friend out there who may or may not be able to represent uF test subjects. Only problem is she's probably never heard of an ARG before, so it'll be tough to explain, and probably just as tough to convince her to go running around the city in the middle of the day.

...As with everything we've done so far - it's a long shot, but you never know!

I'll update as soon as I hear back from her. Best of luck to the other teams! Play nice, Phoenix! Wink

Edit: Also, glad to see we finally got this moved to Chaotic Fiction. XD I'll update the Denver thread re: my contact.

Would it be appropriate to have a sort of omni-drop thread? I think that way everyone on the 'net come Thursday will have something to do.

What it could accomplish:
-Find common threads happening in all drop points
-Keep the location-specific threads uncluttered so net-to-ground support will have an easier time in the chaos

Of course, it could just be easier to watch all the location-specific threads instead. Just figured some community discussion would be more productive than going out and creating a thread that would just clutter up our brand new board. ;3

I think we definitely need one collaborative Net Support thread as we get closer to the countdown. It'll make it easier for us to pool our resources once zero hour hits.

Just a reminder now that we have a forum - please familiarize yourself with the forum guidelines. And remember to find the appropriate thread for anything you want to share, and try to avoid starting new threads for subject matter that's already being discussed.

woot!

Yay!!! Just got a phone call from hubby saying my black package had arrived in today's mail (I am in Australia and have the 1981 incorrect birthdate)

Can't wait to get home from work to see it all.
