I was at Bonnaroo for this event too! I had just laid down in the grass when the sparkles started falling. Honestly, I thought I might have been hallucinating it at first until people started catching the sparkles. I was so disappointed when I thought it was just an advertisement but this is so much more exciting!

I just checked my little helicopter and FWIW it's identical to yours.

Edit: In case anyone finds this interesting, this is the only video of the drop that I can find on youtube.

It's kind of silly but it WAS Bonnaroo.

No idea, but I did find a reference to the WRB site in the comments. Think it's just copy pasted code though and not anything to worry about.

Aye, the reference to the WRB localhost was exactly what I noticed. It does seem unlikely that the two ARGs will intersect though.

No at all... in fact some games rely on doing that

Operator

I received an email from the testsubjectneed people giving me a code and a phone number. I called today and a person called "The Operator" told me the following: "You are specially chosen for Mission: Icefly. Code 333. You will be followed up with further instructions in the mail and through phone calls. This is not a test. This is the future."

Then they hung up. I'm not sure how I feel about all this, however I will continue on with it. Did anyone else get this email and called the number?

Hey guys, I just joined the site because I am just as curious about this as anyone else. I was at Bonnaroo this past weekend as others stated they were and witnessed the dropping of the LED helicopters. I have signed up and am anxiously waiting on my ID in the mail. Can't wait to find out what's in store!

Now that is cool. Obviously, the operator was prerecorded, right?

It just wants you to connect through Facebook. It opens up a new page, but it says app invalid. Darn...

Would you be able to share the email? And if not, was it from testsubjectsneeded.com

Unfortunately I am not allowed. It clearly states in the email distribution of the code, number, or email will be followed up with immediate detachment.

wow ok this thing just keeps getting weirder and weirder..

http://www.movieviral.com/2011/06/14/wrigley%E2%80%99s-gum-needs-your-help-to-hunt-the-red-skull/

soooooo
testsubjectsneeded.com was initially found from a 5 gum ad in the comic flashpoint (DC). (it was then found in various forms such as an ad in a seattle magazine, and a facebook side ad)

then movieviral posted an article saying "wrigley's gum needs your help to hunt the red skull"

red skull from the marvel comic "captain america"

5 gum is made by Wrigley.

confused Very Happy

I can't wait for my envelope. As for the email, I haven't gotten it, yet. Still waiting. Perhaps they are doing it in bursts to keep their phone server from overloading. You never know.

Out of curiosity, fellhawke, what's the first letter of your last name. They may be doing this in a grouped alpha-order.
