Didn't an email or something say something like refresh, countdown, revival or something like that? Its on one of these pages.

It was like the different parts of this or something.

If there is an actual number we need to try it in the phone system.

Found the post I was talking about,

I got another email from them. Subject: "The Operator"

-------Will you be ready when fate calls upon you to step up and lead the pack? Strike. Submerge. Freeze. Fly. Strike. Submerge. Freeze. Fly. This is not a test. This not the future. This is now. Countdown. Shutdown. Reboot. Mission: IceFly is defrosting.

Regards,
The Operator.

I was wrong it was reboot. Ignore.

I take it this came after you left a message. What info did ou leave and did you leave a message with the original recording or with the extension?

I think someone read over the RVIVAL CODE tweet too fast- it sounds like it blinks out "SurvivalCode". Smile

Ah. Thanks.

These emails were first reported a week or two ago, these aren't necessarily new. :3

I was just reading through, and noticed that there were two cases of wrongly used words on the /blameless directory.

"At the press time..." should be, "at the present time..."

"Suffice it to say..." should just be, "Suffice to say..."

Put it together, and it makes "Press it".

The article also isn't written in correct journalistic format, so maybe that could yield more clues?

Nice catch, I wonder what we are suppose to press?

I'm not sure if "suffice it to say" would necessarily be a hint; it's common in vernacular and not entirely incorrect to use, albeit a little redundant. The press/present thing is interesting, though...

EDIT: Nevermind, re-checked the blameless news article. The phrase in question is "...as of press time..." which is a totally legitimate simile of "present time." Neither are hints, sorry. Smile

Hey guys, back from work. Yes I am the Phoenix guy (not the old man). Sad to hear it made a few feeling sour about my old man finding it. While I should have been getting ready for work, I was glued to the computer screen, biting my fingernails. He asked what it was and got interested. Long story short, he raced downtown from northern Phoenix to find it, while I headed off to work. During my break I checked my phone to hear a voice message of an excited old man panting; he got it. I just wanted to get it out there that I do wish I had gone myself. Still, him and I have always been a great team, and it's almost more fulfilling that he went, mostly for him and the experience he got from it. "I felt like a secret agent; it was amazing."

In short, I simply wanted to apologize for those who felt cheated. I can't wait to continue the ARG with you all.

P.S. If this message doesn't make you feel better in the least bit, watch this video from the old Cloverfield ARG and have a chuckle. Yep, that's me when I was 17. Total embarrassment, and I didn't win the contest; but still worth it.

Assuming he/she/it is on here, I have a question for whoever got the L.A. icefly.

Did you happen to make note of the time you picked up the black envelope? I want to know by how much I missed it. So I can rage properly.

Sadly the only camera in my house is not working so I can't record it, but it just leads to the site through the morse.

We were there about 4 minutes after the coordinates were posted. Didn't look at my phone.Texted 42E at 6:17pm, but that was several crazy minutes after we got it.
