Brilliant update!

Seems to me that they're trying to pull people in from all over on this one. I'll be keeping my eye out for anything that looks like promotion over this side of the pond, but I don't hold by breath too much.

That stunt must've cost a fortune, which bodes well for the scale of the game if nothing else.

Keep waiting for something in the post, but nothing yet...

EDIT: I've been having a bit of a play with the mission icefly site. The flying insect will run away from your cursor if you get close to it. It flies in an interesting pattern... I can't decide if there's a message in it, somehow. I have to go out now, but I'll leave it with you all to see if you can make anything of it and look at it more when I get back in later.

I'll be keeping my eyes open too...

I'm pretty sure you had to have answered the eval with the right combo to get that email. Considering there are 32 combinations, I wouldn't bother trying to make myself a badge for every one! I doubt they even allow it, unless you own 32 houses.

I can't wait for my envelope. As for the email, I haven't gotten it, yet. Still waiting. Perhaps they are doing it in bursts to keep their phone server from overloading. You never know.

Out of curiosity, fellhawke, what's the first letter of your last name. They may be doing this in a grouped alpha-order.

My last name is Driver.

I just got a prerecorded phone call from the same number given to me in that email. "The following message is a prerecorded order from The Operator. We will begin our mission at the end of the month. On June 24th you will be sent further instructions on the matter. Granted access in advance will be required. Your badge code to access is -not allowed to post in the forum- When you get your orders follow them immediately. This is not a test. This is the future. Goodbye."

I'm so confused.

I haven't gotten a call or an email of this sort yet... maybe I should take the test again? I dunno...

I haven't had an email or call either. It's possible that it's location-based somehow too; if they're rolling out interactivity based on 'test subjects' needing to be within a certain distance from a place they're planning on running some kind of event...

If fellhawke is getting these than bound to bet there is some specific combination(s?) that was a requirement to get the e-mail or number.
That might be the case or some people will be receiving letters/badges through mail and others through phone.
Then again a location based thing is also highly plausible as is a number of the person to join.

i find it hard to beleive that they would send it out to only one person. My guess is others will be receiving emails as well.
hopefully...

Let's not get jealous! After everything, it's still a game you didn't pay into. Besides, Mission: Icefly only starts in July. Maybe some might get a sneak peak, but hopefully the plurality of us get the same chance, at a later date, of course.

Maybe Mr. Driver lives near Comic Con, or some major USA city. I live pretty close to downtown Tampa, so I might rule out my zone for now. It may be due to the random combo too. I've been compiling a list of results for almost all of the combos. Perhaps the winning combo has a sensory bias that describes a new flavor of 5 Gum. Like, more smell and touch describes Vortex, or something else.

I just started doing that myself. Taking the test picking all choices on the right (1,1,1,1,1) then 4 rights and a left (1,1,1,1,2) then (1,1,1,2,2,) and so on. If you'd like, let me know how you're doing it. Assuming you have a system, I could start at your projected finishing point and work backwards.

Also, I have a request for you fellow participants:

I go into surgery on Monday June 27th. I'll most likely be in the hospital for at least a week. I'll should have access to my email, but internet access is iffy at best. If something that looks time-specific pops up, could you guys PM me so I know to either try to check in or to have my girlfriend do it. Or if someone could email me directly, let me know in a PM.

Especially things like achievements and such. I was also in surgery during the Arcade Aid v.2 weekend and missed out completely on getting a poster due to it. Had I been home, or had the foresight to ask for a heads-up,I would have surely completed the challenge immediately.

I see the countdown clock and everything else pointing to me missing the boat again. Hopefully with a little help from my friends I can have something to pass the time.

Thanks in advance!

I'm doing it like you. I'm not doing it in any order though, but hope to finish all 32 by today. Thanks anyway.

I will try to PM you if I remember. Just remind me via PM before going in to surgery, and that should be good enough for me.

Regardless if I am the only one who gets this or not, I will def. continue to keep all of you updated. I even have a friend who has access to this account and whatnot in case something happens to me (what? you can never be completely sure, I like to be prepared...) So I am here to help.

I'm a long-time lurker here, just registered for the forum today after reading posts for years, and when I got handed the black CONFIDENTIAL envelope at E3 I suspected this was a trailhead... I signed up and I really hope I get to participate in my very first ARG.

If not (if it's a closed-participation game for whatever reason), then I look forward to hearing about it from fellhawke! Smile Do keep us posted.
