Yesssss it's for 5 Gum. We all know that already and it should be obvious, damnit. Anyone who says "I think it's 5 Gum related" at this point should be pegged in the head with a chocolate cupcake. Thread title should be renamed "5 Gum ARG"

Anyway... Continue....

This cupcake, would it have sprinkles as well???

For my 21st birthday I watched fireworks with my family, ate burnt hamburgers, got a kindle from my parents and then got THIS:

TEAM SILVER, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER OORAH.

I think it also has some thing to do with halo because the package it came in is identical to the package that came with the halo reach heroic edition.

Doesn't mean much. You can buy similar bubble packaging at department stores to use as gift wrapping. I remember GameStop/Babbages used to sell nearly identical bubble bags several years ago. The bubble wrap package is a staple in shipping of small items, including our fragile LEDs. As for the color, I'm not surprised they'd go to lengths to send silver/black packages, just to give it a more particular feel. The colors are in line with the atmosphere of the available media, I think.

Tell me why packaging means anything. Seriously.
The earlier black bubble wrap (before the silver) also mimics other ARGs....

Possibly an idea....?

Hi!! So this could possibly be tied to X-men: The Wolverine. I mean apart from obvious similarities (HSP) 5-gum is hosting a contest in Australia/New Zealand

It may be a little outlandish since all I'm going on the sponsor, but this is my first ARG, so please don't be mean if I'm waaaaay off track.... Embarassed

Seems like they're coming out with a new flavor, and to mark the occasion, like any new product release these days that's got co-branding, you have a chance to win a trip related to the X-Men movie premiere... Where does this tie into Icefly? Smile
I wonder what it tastes like.

Well...Obviously, they both are closely tied with 5 gum.
Someone earlier posted that the subpages off of traelekinstitute.com could be a sort of story, a mutant as a kid burns down his home, is sent off to a military school, and is eventually taken into the institute which would be like the school in x-men. (I'm trying to find this post because I can't remember how they tied in the drawings and ring. I'll post it when I do)
When I mentioned this idea to some people who were into x-men, they said stuff like John Locke looking like Prof. X, the timer and technology in the ice truck looking similar to technology in x-men, and similar, small coincidences between the two.
Also, Heightened Sensory Perception could be like... the powers the mutants have.
Last, I know that people in Europe have had trouble participating in this, so I thought maybe people in Australia/NZ were having the same problem and the contest would be like compensation or just another marketing scheme....
Like I said, it's a little outlandish, but I figured that there were too many coincidences to ignore and not share.

I would love a tie-in to X-Men. That would be a blast, not to mention the endless creative opportunities.
If it is, I hope it's does justice to the franchise.

Someone has already requested it. I don't know if anyone has already posted it. This is the face that flickers in in the survivalcode.com intro video (Attention Test Subjects).

This is old, the video is much clearer now. We've recognized him as Terry O'quinn.

Naah. This is not that video. Not the one that was more and more visible during the Mission Icefly city treasure hunt. This is the one that is on the survivalcode.com main page with the title Attention Test Subjects. http://survivalcode.com/intro.html

Though it is most probably Terry anyway. I only posted because someone requested. Nevermind.

General consenus is:

We're waiting for the countdown on the facility entrance to hit zero?

Other than the gum buying, that is...
