Will be away for 3 weeks of holiday with no internet. Guess I'm gonna have a wonderful time digging through that flood afterwards... *sigh*

Someone needs to look up the definition of 'countdown.'

Yeah yeah but with the previous countdown there were the city names appearing few letters a time, the Bonnaroo videos being uploaded, things like Operation Reboot and Terry O'Quinn flashing in to theorise on, and so on. Now you can only go out and buy more gum.

I think a good game should keep players excited.

If I recall correctly, the letters on the countdown page didn't start appearing until a few days before the timer ran out.

From our perspective, nothing is happening.

From the perspective of a person who picked up a pack of gum at the gas station today and scanned a QR code on the display, a LOT is happening.

They have to give new players time to catch up. The point is giving as many people as possible a shot at playing, not to keep the err "upper echelons of ARG society" busy constantly.

If you cannot learn patience, grasshopper, you will never be able to snatch the pack of 5gum from my hand.

This is exactly what I wanted to post, thank you. Due to level 8 pain I cannot think quite clearly at this moment. Thanks for the post.

so the phone number has changed...before we could enter 6 to enter a fax number or 781-799 did other ARG things...however that is all gone...along with that *number# to get locked boxes...also gone....now only boxes 6,8,9 work and are all asking for a pin....pressing just 8 asks you to enter the first few letters of the persons first or last name...any thoughts?

Can log in to both sites now, test subjects and survival.

I didn't notice a login link at test before, though. Don't know how I missed that.
Should I retake the test for fun and see if my histogram at survival changes?

Edit: Yes it did, and yes it's still broken. I for one never thought there was a 'right' or 'wrong' way to do it, just that the histogram isn't working as intended. (Or is it actually a feature? We may never know)

My test results showed as at the end of the test at subjectsneeded, but in my survival profile, it shows up as
Maybe it parses the results differently, as at the actual test site itself, the results in the histogram are ordered from starting at the top, and going clockwise. The results seem shifted once place, thus resulting in the inversion of aforementioned histogram.

it does. actually, we have been thinking there is a possible "right" way to do it...but it is only a thought, we have not been looking into it seriously.

I tried all 1 and 2 letter combinations on the directory to no avail. Either the database is empty or they require 3 or more letters of the name. I'm off to start trying 3 letter combos...

EDIT: ... no luck. Sad there's either no one working there or they're still setting up the voicemail.

Cross posting to Traelek Institute forum where this belongs.

Random thought, and sorry if this has been touched on already.

Has anyone thought to do a frame-by-frame comparison of the MIF "commercial" on YT with the clip we have of Terry O'Quinn in the Bonnaroo video? I'm wondering if those few frames appear in the MIF advert, or if we have another, perhaps direct, message from the man.

Here is a frame (again) for reference:

Crossposted to survival thread, and also somethingawful.com's GBS thread for this ARG.

Have a lot of the .swf and .flv files from both testsubjectsneeded.com and survivalcode.com decompiled with assets exported.. If anyone wants wallpaper-sized caps of anything from those, let me know.
Example, 1920x1080 wallpaper:

This is nothing....WRB hasn't had any activity for...several weeks...if not a month or two now. And it seemed like Flynn Lives had almost a complete break for a month or two...multiple times.
