Interesting...however, the contents of each package are the same....unless there is something that I've missed that makes them each different

Adding to the image pool, here's a close-up of the QR code leading to missionicefly.com

Has anyone mentioned what the phone number is that has been calling? Was it just a restricted number. I'm not sure what we are allowed to say, but I missed a called from a 916 area code number earlier today and now I am so worried that I missed my chance.

According to the Google, 916 is Sacramento.

Edit: When I called it back, it says it's not in service.

O_O the number that I was given to call and have been receiving calls from was a 916 number...I am not allowed to release the whole number, and you shouldn't either if they contacted you. Release of the number will cause immediate detachment. Just wait, they should contact you again. FINALLY someone else!!

My package

Hey guys. I got my package in the mail and apparently they dropped Icefly helicopters over Banaroo and handed them out in black envelopes during E3. My envelope was silver and came from an address in Pasadena
Inya said something about return adresses matching but then Boredfairy and Fellhawke said they were told not to disclose any information. Has anyone received anything about that if you haven't put in a phone number?

1st post. Nice thread and dedicated community you got going on here.

Anyway, has anyone analyzed the audio of the first video? Maybe there's something hidden in the frequency. Just a thought.

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing anything in the audio.

Just a thought but could there be a slowed down SSTV signal in there at all? I signed up a while ago so I don't remember the exact sounds but it could be possible that there's a distorted SSTV.

I'm trying up obvious matches for the QR code but No matches so far.

You can run a basic back search on it and see if the number has been a spam number before. I am assuming though they are starting the contact phase.

Right now it's a waiting game but if we have two different envelopes- black and silver.
Do we have two sides and two teams?
Is it a hint for us that maybe we might end up playing against each other at some point?

Joined up a few days ago. Wanted to soon as I heard about it but my video card was dying; that site would've done it in for sure, hah. Been jonesin' for some more 42E-style flashy mystery.

Probably nothing but I thought on the field of tulips image it might have had something else encoded. Something odd about the look of it (not just the red/cyan thing). I assume there's no way to separate that particular image file, though, from a video.

Is there any way to log back in to check my settings on the opt-in? I'm pretty sure I ticked it, but I'm worried there was a separate one for phone calls I might've missed.

You can click on your username when you log in to TSN DOT COM. There, you should be able to tick off your preferences.

(Back, with an account an one post this time! Very Happy )

First, by adjusting how the picture was showing, my QR an NotGordian's match up perfectly. From what I've gotten it's 'http://www.missionicefly.com/' mostly, but there's something missing. There's not enough data for it to be Both TSN and MIF so I'm kind of perplexed.

(Anyone here with a QR reader feel free to make fun of me, I'm reading the data out and pretty much eyeballing what it says. When I ran it through the QR generator it was only a tiny bit off.)

Second, I noticed that if you were to tear the wings off the helicopter and put the silver decorated sides up, they have the same pattern. I doubt it's consequential but interesting, nonetheless.

Whoever's running this must be either paranoid or a perfectionist because the only fingerprints I'm seeing on the outside are the postmasters, my moms, and mine, and on the things inside only my mom and I. I didn't dust it or anything (Not like I have the supplies), but you can usually see fingerprints in a certain light.

I think I might be reading a liiitle too much into this.

punxtr thanks! Figured I was being dumb.

Oenndanlegt how can you tell whose prints they are by looking in normal light? o_o But with folks like you out there (not an insult, mind), I might well wear gloves to do my mailings.

Hahaha,
Normal piece of white computer paper have a slightly shiny covering which you can see when you tilt the paper a towards the light and look close. If you can see any kind of block there, chances are it's a fingerprint. This sheet was black, so It was much easier. Fingerprints are easy to spot because you're constantly shedding dead skin cells and sweat, which creates the fingerprint you see.
It's pretty simple when you think about it and It's a bad habit I have. Paranoid schizophrenics have a lot of those Razz
