I'm going to be at The Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury that day. 3 hours away from Chicago. Booo. I can hope they'll do another promotion at the festival.

Obviously it's a huge bummer when there's stuff "on the ground" and you can't go, but just a note to those who didn't play Flynn Lives... even though there were on the ground events, they made sure you could still participate/have fun online too. I did both, and had fun either way. In some cases I'd say the "online support staff" was invaluable, and much of the endgame for FL was online anyway.

So don't assume 42E won't include you unless you're in a specific physical location at the right time Wink They are very clever monkeys.

Portland OR represented

Hey folks,

Dusted off my internet persona "ish" for my first ever ARG! I've been lurking this thread since page 1 and now that locations might be involved figured I'd let you know I'll try and have Portland OR covered (hoping it's that Portland, and not Maine!)

I work 7am - 3pm Pacific Time so at 11:30am I'll be at work but I'll be prepping whatever I need to prep to get to where ever I need to be when the countdown ends. I have to imagine they will have some leeway time for commuting! Maybe not but I'll do my best!

I've still not received my package in the mail but I signed up after E3 so it may take a wee bit. Will be looking forward to it when I do!

Currently I'm trying to see if the missing letters are consistent in the message (ie; if it's a hangman situation and letters are appearing like they would in Jepoardy) but nothing so far... I'm not just going to assume the location part is correct, gotta look at all angles!

So, hope you guys don't mind another member of the team, but I figured I'd come out of the shadows and join the HPP team!

You never know. Depending on the time your going to b e there, you can slip by Chicago before you head out. It seems that most ARGs do drops around noon in Chicago, as per my exp.

Even if all the letters were to jumble up last second and say MICHAEL JACKSON IS ALIVE (just to pick some crazy shit out of the air) it's usually best to assume a "go with best theory until proven otherwise" stance with these things. The city thing is in all likelihood what those letters are saying, as they make the most sense. I mean if you have another clear cut angle you want to work, by all means go with it and you may learn something for the lot of us, and your vigilance is appreciated. I'm just saying, I wouldn't be doubting the City answer, because that is definitely what the list is looking like.

No you are probably right, but I am bored at work, and its worth wasting some of my 8 hour day playing with the cryptic jumble to me Smile

I stared at this post for a good minute super confused and realized you meant Wheel of Fortune and not Jeopardy. Glad to know I'm not the only person who occasionally switches the two in conversation.

@little_vicious: Thnx for the message and yes I saw your post. =) I've been lurking this past week as not much has happened until recently....and I really needed to find/apply for jobs.

Hello, I wasn't around for the past few days to catch up on all of the ARG I've missed. I picked up by skimming the past 4 pages of posts that a new image at the bottom of the website appeared, I loved that it was some locations. That is all as of right now I wanted to say.

I live about two hours away from Orlando. I will drive there if necessary.
