Hi people! Now check out in the source code the line beginning with <input> and ending with a long, long mysterious code that I accidentally didn't manage to post when I asked about it. :)

Also, dammit! They accidentally missed out Budapest, Hungary from the city list! Why the **** did they send me the package then? :D

I got curious and looked up the source on the TSN profile update page... it has another (even longer!) string of code... think it means anything? I'm not good at this technical stuff.

I am sorry fellhawke. I understand why the hate made you wanna quit.

It's his choice. He has to realize that basically what he said was "I know a secret. But I can't tell you." That's not how 42E works, and honestly, that's what causes arguments and debates at UF. We like to deal with facts, and generally people who don't "share what they know" don't often get received all that well... happens time and time again. He's welcome to stay, but he has to understand that we can't accept unsubstantiated claims as official content.

The same goes for new websites and gamejacks - we generally say take any content with a grain of salt until officially connected through a known in-game resource. Otherwise there's no way of knowing if it's legitimate or not. I'm not saying fellhawke is a gamejacker, I'm just saying that the state of his claims right now puts it in the 'unsubstantiated rumour' column. If he wants to leave because we don't blindly His Very Word, that's up to him Smile

Do you think that the images are from Millenium and not Lost? I have never watched either show so I have no idea. Any chance of finding a clip this might be from?

Definitely NOT from Lost.

That is definitely John Locke. WTF?

DEFINITELY Terry O'Quinn.

He's not really working on anything super high profile right now, either. No films in production. I think he just signed on for a recurring role in Hawaii 5-0.

He had a pilot in production, but I don't think it got picked up.

Interesting....

PS - I will be in Seattle on Thursday with my laptop. Excited for my first ARG from beginning to end! This is much more interesting than going through old posts and videos to catch up to the current storyline. Razz

Any time you see a hidden INPUT field with "__VIEWSTATE" and a long string of alphanumeric characters, that's just a by-product of the back-end code system they use (ASP.NET in this case). Unless some trickster PM decides to hide a code as a viewstate value... but generally speaking, it's just backend programming and not something to worry about Wink

wow guys. there goes our potential hints. You can't beleive him, can you? Now we really are on our own.

Lol, dude. Let's look at the hints:

Some crap from "operator," likely trolling the ilovebees arg, as that was one of the main characters there.

1. They are watching this website.
Already explained this one. Course they are.
2. Some of you are right and some of you are wrong. -
No because with all the conflicting theories we are somehow all right.
3. Don't miss out on the 30th. -
Cuz we were planning on it.
4. Packages will continue to be sent after the 30th. -
Seeing as how TSN is up still, I'd say they'd have to.
5. Some of you will be disappointed in what this is about, and some of you will already have seen this coming. -
Same as #2.

One way or another, not one of these is an actual hint.

Also, if he was so sure he would be proven right, he wouldn't ragequit when put in question. If not, the ARG goes on after the ragequit. This is all even giving him the benefit of the doubt that he can't even take a picture of his blue envelope.

There is more, but I'm not going to drag his name through the dirt any more than I have to.

Me too. I wonder if they will be posting more details about what/where in Seattle. I will be at work but I plan on trying to leave if needed... but if I need internet somewhere I'll have to find wifi for the laptop! I also rely on the bus system, so yeah. Haha.

I am excited and nervous, and this too is my first ARG!

Would one city in the UK have been too much to ask for?

*sigh*

Oh well. Me and the rest of the Europeans will have to stick with being ground crew I guess. Unless any of you guys are a darn sight richer than me and can afford that plane fare at the drop of a hat. Wink

First bold print says: Nothing is as it appears

That's in this site's own tutorial. This itself is telling you to be paranoid. To doubt. To seek a hidden truth. I can understand getting offended, but this is the wrong place entirely for it. You can't blame people for playing the game correctly. That's your first strike.

You've stated that you've gotten a blue package. You've never stated that you couldn't show this blue package. Not even a, "I would, but I don't have a camera" or something along the lines of that. People have been asking to see it for several pages, and up until this point, you've been ignoring them. Not communicating, not cooperating. That's another strike against you.

When people state perfectly justified doubt as to what truth you're giving, you rage-quit? Just end it like that? Done with this thread, done with this game, done with your prestigious position? I can understand cutting us off and going dark, but ending it all? That looks like a retreat. Like a lie collapsed without support, and you're trying to put up a smoke screen of guilt. That's a psychological third strike.

There's something false about you. An employee with a sketchy persona, a fail troll, an average Joe who happens to be bad under pressure, or perhaps something in-between.

Whatever, try to enjoy yourself a bit more on the next thing you do.

Just let him go. His child-like logic of truth is flawed. If he wants to quit because HE never showed any proof as to what he claims while people keep requesting it, so be it.

Let's not waste our time. What we should do is scour to see if whether or not we can find anything out in relation to MIF, TSN and the cities believed to be hosts.
