It's far less convoluted for Brian to have gone back to his own life after the film project was cancelled since he was pretty much just assigned to the project as an actor.

I think the difficulty with this is that there were many mentions during the first series to Brian, but the most recent time we've seen him on camera is as far back as the original MH reels. As many others have pointed out, there's a few occasions in the old footage where his absences is commented on. Plus, in the interview, the way Tim says he hasn't seen Brian in some time hints he might well not have seen him in since his appearances as an actor. Plus, its his house that formed so much of Jay's investigations.

As for shot dead... the blood in the sink looked far more consistent with coughing it up rather than a gunshot wound. It could be someone trying to wash it off their hands, but you'd think they'd clean it all down the sink.

The big problem with Brian as a possibility is that, as whyyoubawwing says, he was just an actor on the project, so all the editing and suchlike as well as having Alex's original footage seems a bit odd. Though, on the other hand, we do know Alex lived with him for a bit, so perhaps some tapes got left behind. Who knows.

Thank you ^^ but the thing that leaves me open to him being shot is the fact that while the blood may look one way, Troy isn't a forensic analyst and neither are we so I doubt very many of us have experience analyzing blood patterns. So I'm still open to Brian being assassinated by TTA from the book depository.

There was a second shooter on the Grassy Ark.

My question is this: how the hell would it have ended up in the sink if it was a gunshot wound?

yah, but why would he lean over the sink bleeding? I know it sounds stupid when i phrase it that way, but really, I suppose he could have been using water for.....something or.....looking in the mirror? but seriously, why would he go to the sink?

And why would it be just in the sink? I would think if someone was shot downstairs (where the bullet casing was found) and they then went upstairs to the sink to bleed out for a while, there would be more traces of blood around the house. Let alone in the bathroom heading towards the sink.

I'm not sure about just coughing though, seems like alot of blood to be coughing up and to, you know, not be dead.

TTA shoots Brian downstairs. In a struggle to get away, he moves upstairs and hides in one of the doors that could not be accessed by Jay. TTA can't find him either because the doors do not lead to the same place, or because they don't open.

When TTA leaves, Brian moves down the hall to the sink to try to wash the blood away. From there, who knows?

there wasn't blood anywhere but the sink, there's no signs of a makeshift bandage, (though i suppose its possible we just didn't see it) and unless he was just skimmed he would need a bandage, and if he was just skimmed, I doubt there would be enough blood for the sink. Not to mention the blood was fresh looking, possibly just a mistake due to the type of fake blood.

It took a second for me to figure out who ToThePark was, and when I did I shook my fist angrily. Assuming that I'm thinking of the right person (the random guy at the park in one of Season 2's early entries, listening to music) then there is no way that guy is actually relevant. While I know this series always has something up it's sleeve, that scene was nothing but false tension and possibly some comic relief.

As for our new Mask, I'm saying it's Brian. Brian has to play a bigger part in this, and cannot simply be an actor who bailed once the plug was pulled on the actual Marble Hornets. I'm basing this on the fact that Season 1 practically revolved around his abandoned house. Where did he go? Why did he leave? What exactly happened in that house? So much of the initial mystery took place in that house, and we STILL haven't figured out why. Assuming that totheark isn't just Tim (and it seems that's where this is headed) then it must be Brian as well.

There is also the possibility of Jessica. I think we'll hear from her again soon enough, but not like this.

As has been mentioned countless times it's never been said whose house that was and as for the "cannot simply be an actor who bailed" part, that could just as easily be applied to any of the cast from season 1, not just Brian.

Every single one of your posts is filled with the kind of rage that only a full-time internet commentator can muster. I commend you for withholding the urge to type in all caps.

As for the blood in the sink? Strawberry toothpaste. That stuff is G-E-W-D gewd.

I was wondering about that, actually... I never remembered hearing it was Brian's house.

While it is never explicitly stated that The House is Brian's, one only needs to compare the entries involving The House to Entry #20 (where Alex states 'here we are at Brian's house...'). Both the layout and furniture seem to match that of The House that Jay enters, although one could make the argument that it is possible for two houses to be built with identical layouts and contain striped couches.

If The House was in fact not Brian's, though, the question then becomes whose could it be? It wouldn't be Alex's, who moved away from town and has been gone for three years at the beginning of the series. Tim has likewise gone on to college, although since he and Brian were neighbours, if anyone were to have a house whose layout matched Brian's house, it would probably be Tim.
