Not Just Any Note... ...a Paramount Pictures Note! As promised, here is a scan of the Note from Paramount Pictures that was came with the replacement poster.
Now that I have two posters, I would be willing to let the less than perfect one go....who wants to do some horse trading?

Awesome, people. I'm glad, there some development in comic contest, since this website became my very refreshed one since weeks. (To super8comiccontest-webadmins: that guy who every day many times visits the page and whose IP is German is probably me).
Apropos, Germany... I hope, they send this awesome print also to Germany...

Looks like I won't be getting any of this loot - didn't enter the comic contest so it's my fault. But I managed to rescue a piece of Lillian from Main Street after the great alien escape. It's the Lillian Journal sign from the paper box. The paper box got bebopped around while they were filming the scene where ole Cooper is trying to decide what debris to use for the spacecraft. When the bebopping was over the sign was loose. I decided to give it a good home. Sometimes you gotta provide your own loot.
Even though I didn't enter the comic contest - I keep checking for the winner - but not as often as kosmo does. I hope they post pics of all the entries - it'd be fun to see what all your imaginations came up with. Good luck to everyone who entered. And congrats to all of you who are getting the goods.

You want to know what I think Rob? I think that letter was written by Mr Minker and you might want to decode that bad boy.

Rockette;
Just curious; what did the residents of Weirton think of Super 8?

Congrats, and it kind of does look like Minker's handwriting lol
@Rocket Nice Stuff! But did they just let you take it?
Also they said there is only 500, does this mean they're going to sell the rest?

Xeno – Most of the people who I spoke to loved Super 8. Of course we have an extra layer of engagement in checking out our little town and townspeople on the big screen. No one gave it a bad review. A few people had plausibility questions – pretty much the same ones that have been mentioned here and on other sites. There was a local red carpet premier for the fortunate few here (not me ). From what I've heard it included a special taped message to Weirton from JJ and 45 extra movie minutes. I have no idea what these minutes included – I hope they're included with the DVD. Also Ryan Lee was there to greet, take pictures and sign autographs. There are more residents of Weirton who I don't know than who I do know. I'm not sure what their opinions are but in general I'd say Weirton thinks Super 8 rocks!

avr1991 – after the final night of filming here on Main St. there was plenty of debris left lying in the street. Most of it was in a wet jumbled mess from them tossing it around and spraying the street regularly and of course from the splash from the water tower. They actually did manufacture a big splash for that scene. When the shoot was done the crew went through that night and pushed the mess to the street side. They removed things that they were instructed to keep and said what was left was good for the taking. The Lillian Journal sign seemed pretty cool so I took it.

Little update: looks like the "...Click here to submit your art" button on the official comic contest page is off; replaced by "...Click here to view the final comic panel reveal as illustrated by tommy lee edwards."
