I'll take a tissue too. I hope they release a larger file of the art so I can at least print out a nice copy for myself to display with my other Super 8 and RP stuff.

ROFL Jane!
@Rocket, I would have done the same.
Argh! If only they set the movie in east-london, although it would have sucked lol

@Rocket Rob i think you're right, i should have submitted but i wasnt sure if i would get anything.

I hope they sell some full size big posters. I might just go to the cinemas and ask if they can give me one before they toss them out

Jane - Are you kidding me?!? They GAVE you a box of Super 8 tissues.

I did find this tucked inside my screen door. But it looks like I still gotta fork out $ to get a piece of this loot. I hope I can find a pack at my local
7-11. (If I do I'm sending 4 rolls to you Jane.)

Re: I have a Theory

My Theory is this....

The Contest Participants that did not win...get a poster.

The Contest participants that won....do not get a poster.
Instead, the winners get...

PRIZES:

One (1) Grand Prize, consisting of:

One iPad 2 (16GB, Wi-Fi only)
One (1) Copy of Custom Comic signed by at least one (1) comic talent
One (1) Signed and framed comic book cover print by Alex Ross
One (1) Movie Prop from SUPER 8 (minimum value $500)
One (1) Copy of SUPER 8 DVD signed by at least one (1) of the director and/or actors (delivered after DVD release date in the U.S.)

(ARV $ 2,550.00 x 1)

A total of five (5) First Prize, each prize pack consisting of:

One (1) Flip video camera package (4GB Ultra HD)
One (1) Copy of Custom Comic signed by at least one (1) comic talent
One (1) Copy of SUPER 8 DVD signed by at least one (1) of the director and/or actors (delivered after DVD release date in the U.S.)

(ARV $1,150.00 x 5)

So "Guest"...Cross your fingers![/strike]

I'm hoping that the posters are for everyone, including winners (mainly because I want to be a winner! haha). As I said before, the wording on the COA makes it sound more like an acknowledgement that our entries have been recieved than a consolation prize. It never says "you didn't win, but thanks for playing" it just says "thanks for playing." Could be wrong. Just trying to be optimistic. I'm not backing down till we have an officially announced set of winners.

P.S. Who's ready for a revalistic update?

Jane;

Well, tissues are softer when blowing your nose than aluminum foil...

I picked up a few of the rocket poppeteers display signs at the 7-11s around here if you would be willing to trade for one of those. I mainly got the ones that were above the gas pumps. I can send pics and dimensions if needed. PM me if you're interested!

a girl freaking out about this.

Thank you Rocket Rob for your theory, its just i still have not heard anything from the comic contest hopefully your theory is right, (my fingers are crossed) ; however, so for Matchlmonorail it would be nice if your theory was correct too, because i have not received any notice from Paramount pictures by fed ex. I still have my fingers crossed hoping i will get something from this super 8 comic contest. But hopefully answers will come in time.

OK people, since I've got an official response, I will say it now publicly (haha, "publicly" - how nostalgic!)

I am the First Winner of the Super 8 comic contest.

The only problem is, since I am not an US resident, I will not get any prizes (it's also official).

I'm not sad about the fact I won't get any prizes, since I knew the rules and I infringed them (US residents only). I just hope, I and my work will be mentioned somewhere at the contest website. If not, I will publish my submission here though.

And behind the Comic contest was http://www.performance-entertainment.com/ btw. I think, this comic contest was one of the coolest parts of the story, since they motivated you to be creative.

I hope, they will support another projects by JJ. I'm starting my Photoshop for the next time already Smile

Yo kosmopol,

Congrats on the win!

Send them a note telling them you have dual citizenship, and use my mailing address here in the states to receive your prize(s).

I will then forward them on to you.

Or contact someone in the Germany Office and let them know your plight.
