I think it simply needs to be locked until people can work out what if any awards thread there should be, and how it should properly work with multiple people running it. This never did - or at least, it wouldn't work as a broad-based "Slender Mythos Awards," not if you arbitrarily eliminate main contenders on both the blog and vlog sides. Therefore, I think it was right for it to be criticized (civilly) and taken down for revision. We can argue about tone, but there were valid points from the beginning and this simply did not work.

First off I apologize if anyone took my comments the wrong way. I didn't intend to imply that blogs are bad compared to vlogs.

The reason I don't read blogs is because I got into this mythos quite late and after reading some comments posted on various sites I discovered that a lot of the blogs cross-over and to understand them I'd have to read them all. I simply didn't have the time to do that.

All right. After some discussion, I've decided not to lock this thread. Anonymousity, you have a good idea here, but it has some issues in its execution. I suggest getting together with quite a few more users, and trying to come to a rule consensus. I'd be happy to offer some advice, not as a mod, but as a fan of Slenderman vlogs and blogs alike.

As for the rest of you, be civil. As it stands, people are cooling off, but if it gets out of control in here again, I will lock this thread, and pass the names of the instigators up the line, I don't care who it is.

I think there should be a "best introduction in a slender blog/vlog" and "best ending in a slender blog/vlog" award.

I think we should also appreciate the finer points of Slender vlogging. "Most Ridiculous Slendercough", for the cute little kiddies who think a good ol' manflu is pants-shittingly scary. "Most Apathetic Slenderman", for the man in black who takes standing around and looking menacing to the far reaches of its believability and beyond. "Stupidest Proxy Mask", a terrifyingly close battle between EMH's Baghead and AG's Bagheads. Or maybe the new arrival will come in and take the throne, MH's Hoodie Baghead!

I also vote we change the name from the Tall Man Awards, to the Slazzies. This seems like a logical course of action.

this was a fairly good idea up until that fact, thanks cougs. people DO tend to argue things out in life and out on the oh-so-liberal-free-speech web, you know.

No worries, Im not trollin and I damn sure won't be posting here anymore to argue the point. Policing the forums is a great idea, please don't get me wrong, but resorting to this kind of free-speech police is a little ham-handed imo.
