Some additional research for yesterday's entry tells us that "HAL" Laboratories is the developer of game series such as Eggerland, Kirby, or the Super Smash Bros.

Today the message is as follows:

First line refers to Douglas Adams. The ULTimate ANSwer given by the computer Deep Thought is 42.
"Chevalier silicium" might mean the Silicon Knights, developers of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. What the Eternally Dark Hour is, I'm not sure. In a game called Persona 3 (not by them), it's between 12:00 and 12:01. That does not fit with the number 3. I also don't know what our Guest No. is.

This has no basis in anything really, but as a kid I loved the game 7th Guest, I can't really pull a connection here except that "7" fits with "th" properly and that it is a game. The hacking relation I am unfamiliar with and I can't really make a connection there. Though the same gamemakers' next game was called The 11th Hour...I don't know if that would relate to the previous clue at all. Just some brainwaves flowing out there for you guys
Another thing, it seems we have more *** in the puzzle than needed for the solve again.

Edit: Okay little more research yields 3:33 as the "eternally dark hour". It's a recurring number theme in Eternal Darkness, as well there is some generally creepy info on it online. *shudder*

Perhaps they're referring again to PSN/Sony being hacked? PSN was hacked twice, and now Sony's website has been hacked. That would make anyone trying to hack in again the 4th "guest." It's a long shot though.

I was wondering from early on if no one solved one of the puzzles if they would...just not go on until it was solved. I mean yesterday's could have been solved but I tried personally a ton of things and put them in to every console and system I could and no dice. So a possibility maybe we are still waiting on a solve from yesterday's puzzle?

I thought of that, except, as far as I know, no one even figured out where to use the code from the 6th.
Although, yesterday's is the format of a Microsoft Points code. We've gotten several of those so far. (It could also be for Steam, but Xbox codes have been more common so far) I don't have an Xbox myself, so someone else would be the one to claim it. However, if you want to take a crack at the code, that's where you should try.

Hmmm I think I missed that one. Didn't the 3DS store launch that day? Maybe it was for that? I'll take a looksee.

Maybe, but you'd think it would just use the existing Nintendo points system, so as not to confuse people, or cheat them out of points they've already bought/won. Nintendo points use 16 digits, but the first four aren't broken up like that. Still, it's worth a shot as you never know.
