That literally has no bearing on why I don't like the finale. The sole moment that finally crushed any hope I had for the series was Noah rushing the camera with a knife. That exact scene is everything I hate about modern horror as a genre.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me. But torn, white shirts covered in fake blood and poorly-acted mad laughter just doesn't do it for me.

Got to ask, Kempest. What's your opinion of Tim's charge-the-camera moment from Marble Hornets?

I thought that one was handled much better. The white mask, coupled with his silence, makes for a much more terrifying moment than one of wide-eyed laughter and unconvincing wardrobe. I'm sorry, I can't let that shirt thing go. I've worked in too many cheap haunted houses.

Eh, to summarize, I thought the TT scene's costume and acting were laughable (because bad acting is bad), and my feelings on the MH scene are the exact opposite (because masks and silence are fucking terrifying).

The atmosphere was generally creepier in the MH scene, but I'm not counting that right now.

ETA: I'm probably coming off as an asshole, and I apologize for that. When I get all opinionated, I get unfairly brash. I'll try to tone it down. :\

Nah, you've just got an opinion. And opinions are welcome. But, do consider what Slendery said, it's very true. It's good to be informed. Had it not been for her, that performance would have been scripted differently and turned out much more excellently. But don't get me wrong, I hate how Day 2 turned out. It was quite deplorable compared to my vision, especially the ending. But drastic fuck-ups (Sarah) require drastic stitches (that rushed ending/acting) to keep them alive. The entire series and its continuity were at stake, so I had to botch it the way I did. At least the final product was only mainly disliked by people who did not take well to my rushed acting. It's rather remarkable in the end that I managed to pull a Frankenstein and edit what I had so well into a watchable two-part Thanksgiving video. I wish people would at least appreciate that miracle. I may explain more about how I accomplished such an impossible feat it in an upcoming interview or video commentary extra if I ever make a DVD of TribeTwelve.

Alright, had to clear up that quarrel. Back on topic now, y'all. Rolling Eyes

Eh. I enjoyed it because we got Crazy Noah Face out of it. I think that outweighs all the negatives.

Not sure whether to be embarrassed or impressed that I got a response from Nimbus himself. I'll just be both. Anyway, if Word of God says it, I believe it. He's alright, even if I don't like his series. (Thanks for personally clearing that up, by the way.)

On-topic question: Are there any blogs with unique Slenderman variations? I still haven't taken the time to read any of the ones I bookmarked for future marathons.

Re: The Different Variations of Slender Man
What makes each series' Slender Man different?

FIXING YO SHIT wrote:

Marble Hornets
Tie Color: Black
Significant Feature: Has distinctly long arms. *CAN ALSO APPARENTLY MOVE ON A DIFFERENT PLANE OR SOME SHIT BECAUSE THIS ASSHOLE GETS AROUND. hewasalsolikeacriminalorsomethingthatgotstretchedonatreeinamagicforestorsomethingaccordingtothatonevideo

EverymanHybrid
Tie Color: Black/Red
Significant Feature: Can move without walking? (Joke's Over)
*Also can make black goop come out of people, cause internal hemorrhaging, whip his herr back and forth, and teleport people all over the fucking place.

TribeTwelve
Tie Color: Black
Significant Feature: Has animated tentacles. *LET'S COMPLETELY IGNORE THE AWESOME STORY IN WHICH HE'S DESCRIBED AS BEING BULLETPROOF AND HE MARCHES INTO A CAMP AND SNATCHES UP A NAZI.

Dark Harvest
Tie Color: Black
Significant Feature: *Has a reputation as a badass serial killer and has a kickass impostor proxy guy. Not too much to say here, as he hasn't shown up nearly as much as his proxy.

Angel's Game
Tie Color: Black/Red
Significant Features: *Puts on fresh clothes when his get mussed up, superhuman strength and reflexes, can possess people on the spot, physically abuses his underlings, and WAS NEVER REALLY SLENDER MAN EVER.

AndersenJournals
Tie Color: Black/Red
Significant Feature: Has black, gloved hands. *I honestly can't say much more than there being evidence that he has helped spawn a split personality inside one of the characters and has been hunting two of them since childhood besides the fact that he seems to have some deeper connection to the protagonist/antagonist than is usually seen in a story like this.

MyDarkJournal
Tie Color: Black
Significant Feature: Walks like a human.
*HOW IS THAT A SIGNIFICANT FEATURE? EVEN MH'S COULD FUCKING WALK.

TJAProjects
Tie Color: Black
Significant Feature: Seems to want the protagonists' baby. *Oh, and he BURNS FUCKING HAND-PRINTS INTO PEOPLE HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

Never read the entire thing, but H(a)unting was one of the only blogs to have Slenderman communicate with actual text to the protagonist, right?

Yeah, he wrote on a chalkboard and didn't understand spacing for some reason. That one also had two different Slendermen. Good and evil.
