All Righty Then!

Is the scintillator for detecting gamma radiation of various wave lengths and strengths?

Is the scintillator powered by either a 22 volt, 45 volt, or 67.5 volt battery?

Can the scintillator be powered by 4 alkaline AA batteries?

Are the three dots a symbol for a combination of three types of gamma radiation...alpha, beta, and ????

Are we suppose to go on a scavenger hunt with the train map and actually go to those physical locations on the map...maybe to find an item or a prize?

Could some of these super 8 games and clues be out there as a diversion from the truth? Are we being misinformed on some things and led a stray?

Are we starting to see what the monster looks like in the camera lens and its changing image? Look down at the bottom of the lens...the bright white area...seems to be going lower and lower...exposing something behind it.

Will Jane find the Golden Cheese?

Sorry I don't see this, what camera lens are you looking in? Screen grab?

This is the general feeling amongst all of us "Game Players". I think we all agree that the ARG portion was very miniscule that they buffered this with mixed in Viral Marketing, which is cool to the "new to this" but for people who expected rules from other ARG's this certainly did not apply.

That's a valid point Jane. Perhaps this was never meant to be an ARG - not in the truest sense of the word anyway. Certainly, with the addition of the RocketPoppeteers shop, this seems more like a brand.

Possible answer to newspaper question

Melodyman wrote:
What was the purpose of the first newspaper clipping message about "not sure if alive we go underground"?

Doesn't that fit in with the whole back story from the comic book insert? It seems that they did not know if the cubes were alive and therefore went underground to do some testing. Hoping I'm not wrong...

Perhaps this is the most well kept secret about this movie Very Happy

But if seriously:

So many question, so few answers! Is it possible that the film itself will answer a few of them?

Defo want to know about TROGL

Why push Rocket Poppeteers for so long without tying it into the main story properly? This came way too late.

WHERE ARE JOSH AND SARAH?

Were we actually supposed to go to flippin Fergus Falls Hospital to pick up the note? If we were why wasn't it clearer? Did the snow scupper this bit?

Is vitas relic a planet, a cube, a fish, a cave troll or wha?

How much was planned out from the start and how much was adapted according to player reactions?

Finally, I actually have a question for ARGers, is the frustration being felt at this game linked to the fact, like JumboTron said, sometimes it felt more like a brand?

I'm intrigued that they seem to have built this RP brand and set of products purely out of the ARG, and I'm wondering if they want to take it further or if its just getting dropped after Super8. Feels much more prominent than Slusho was in Cloverfield.

Can they "ARG PEOPLE" redeem themselves at the end? No not really, but "THEY THEM" can show the love we have supplied back with a BIG BANG at the end. If they fizzle this out.

I'm WRITING A FUCKING LETTER with the best cipher code's every seen, that I bombard with gamma rays.. it will take them so long to figure it out.. that they all turn to OCTOPUSES WHILE READING THE DAME THING......err...maybe...

I think i can answer one of the questions posted.

TROGL is a type of cave dewelling animal such as a Troglobite ( see wikipedia to see the true meaning) also covered in some of MY threads on the subject matter , may take some digging to find out.

The question i would like to know the answer to is WHAT ON EARTH IS THE DEVICE ??

Here's a question that has almost nothing to do with Super 8 or the ARG but I couldn't justify starting a new thing so I'll ask it here. With the game soon coming to an end (I'm guessing) and the announce of Halo 4 does anyone thing there will be an ARG starting up for it similar to I Love Bees? I ask this really for one reason. You guys are so awesome if there is one for it I really want to stick with at least some of the people in this group through it. Also I'm really bad at picking up on these things. I still don't remember how I was actually able to stumble upon this game. Razz

For myself I do think the viral marketing and purchases were a primary issue here, they could have done the selling for 8 months and then thrown the game on the end. If you read the other boards out there people don't know the game from the marketing...we are just a handful that are interested in the great white Coelacanth.
