I'm pretty sure The Walkie Talkie Radios the kids used are the same type of toy walkies used in Escape from New York.

I saw Super 8 for the 5th time today at my local theater! I caught another slusho sign in the gas station scene! There is a pole in the station and on that pole there is a slusho sticker. It is the same design as the sign in the window and the big sign above the register, just in sticker form. Look for it next time you see the movie! Also, it was out of focus so I couldn't quite tell, but I think there may be an RP poster in Joe's room as well. I thought I saw the same poster as the one seen in Charle's room in Joe's room when the footage of his mom starts playing on the projector. If it is in fact an RP poster, it is the poster directly to the right of the screen when the footage is being shown. I'll have to really look closely the next time I see the movie.

nice list and a lot for me to look out for on my next viewing. During end when all of the materials are flying around, I think I saw a film reel. I know...nothing major but I thought it was funny.

Saw it for the first time today as a father's day present, so to speak, so I've dutifully avoided the spoiler threads up until now. It was awesome. And I saw some of the things mentioned, but definitely not all- Nimoy must have neck-pinched me at that moment he showed up. I will say that the junk on the tower at the end looked like a close-up of the Satellite of Love from MST3K, so I'll be checking it closer next time to see if there are any funny things on there.

My IMAX showing wasn't terribly in focus. I complained during the trailers that it was blurry, but they didn't do anything. Sigh.

Here are my limited additions, and not terribly good ones. I agree with the others in this thread. When the Sheriff pulled into the gas station, I started humming the Rocket Poppeteers theme.

am i crazy or something? i've done some research through the thread, albeit minimal, but is there any story behind the trucks with the three white dots?

also, i'm not 100% sure, but did anyone else catch someone jumping out of the truck RIGHT before the it turned to face the train?
