Also, if Jay turns out to be Hoody, I am going to be very disappointed.

This doesn't make sense as to why Jay would go out of his way to run from the Operator, come back 15 minutes later dressed in a hoody and mask, return his camera, walk back INTO the forest, run around like crazy and then not remember any of it.

Even if he used the hood/mask to hide from Slenderman, it makes no sense since in #42, Jay is clearly scared as he's running past Alex. And when he's sitting down, he looks like he's in shock.

It doesn't add up.

Oh, I also have to address that TTA's video Intermission was posted (and probably made) in present time, whereas the past few entries have been in the past. So we can't assume that Hoody made Intermission while in the woods a few months ago just to post it a few weeks ago.

Didn't someone mention that Alex's dog died? Is it possible that Slendy took the dog which is why Alex acted like a jerk during filming of MH? Alex's overall animosity is most likely because Amy was taken away. This would explain his attitude, why he started filming himself (he tried to get his dog back) and why he knows so much about how Slendy works (if he tried to find his dog he's done this before). I think that Alex did something that pissed slendy off and now he's getting revenge by taken everything he loved away from him. Brian was a close friend of BOTH Alex and Tim but Tim didn't meet Alex until filming. Maybe Slendy took Brian away and Tim blamed Alex. Thus, Tim was sucked into all of this. When Tim first "attacked" Jay we have to remember it was too dark to see and he might have thought it was Alex. Also, if this is Alex's home town, Jessica might be a childhood friend. If she went missing than that would leave Jay. I believe Alex went back in the first place to check up on his family. So who is TTA/Hoody? It would have to be someone who knows about Slendy and the way he operates (no pun intended) and needs something from either Jay or Alex. I still believe TTA is a cult, whose members include Tim and Hoody. Tim might be trying to get Brian back (via the Ark) and Hoody is trying to get something/someone else. Sorry about the long post.

If the girl they are talking about in Entry 42 is in fact Jessica, then that definitely supports my theory that she could be Alex's sister. Alex seemed very strung up about finding this girl, while Jay kind of didn't (My audio may just not have been very loud, though). However, it could be Amy, or whatever her name is, they are referring to. Alex could be looking for his girlfriend. They did mention a hotel and staying the night. So, Alex and Jay booked a hotel around Entry 40 and are looking for a chick? Also, did anyone else get the vibe that Jay was trying to hide information from Alex? When Alex asked him why he was in the woods and why he was running out of them, he didn't tell Alex about The Operator or anything, unless he forgot about it until he re-watched his footage. Thoughts?

Oh, okay, also I noticed I said that Jay didn't mention the Operator, but he did by saying 'the thing.' My audio was kind of low when I watched it on Thursday, since it was kinda late.

Wasn't there another mask in one of the TTA videos? Or was that Entry #26.
Either way, I distinctly remember a blonde figure wearing a mask...
And Amy is blonde. So maybe that was a picture of her?

So what is the relation between the Operator and masks?

In my mind there is NO doubt that TTA = Hoody/ToTheBark and Hoody isn't Alex

Why?

Entry 40 => Jay uploads footage of him walking around Rosswood in the lost 7 months.

Intermission => TTA reveals he was there as well at the time, maybe even in frame => "Did you see me? I saw you" He also shows a sketch of a person sitting against a tree resembling Jay from entry 42. We can think that TTA knew Jas going trough the tapes and eventually see it, however this footage is from the 'forgotten' hard drive. => so TTA needed Jay to remeber the hard drive to prove his point he was always there.

Entry 41 => TTA was at the chimney the time Slendy showed up. He sees Jay running away, but Slendy is still there. So he waits about 15 minutes, or maybe does something else to get Slendy away in that time. => He picks it up and strolls trough the park knowing he will be there before Jay. Now why does he knows he will be first? 2 theories here:
- He saw Jay running the wrong way and assumed he would be lost. (However he must be pretty cocky to think he can just walk about filming the plant life and water while Jay might be getting closer to the car)
- He has a way of moving a lot faster (would explain why the camera distorts when he comes into frame, he has a special power).
He gets there on time, set the camera up and deliberately films himself. Letting Jay know he was there and watches out after him.

Indicator => "Signs everywhere" => Please remember you also have a hard drive you haven't looked into yet.

Entry 42 => Alex arrives closely after Hoody bringing the camera, and if it is Hoody under the tree. It seems like Hoody was waiting for Alex. Which still gives me the idea they know each other (+ it seems like Alex waved at him). And it's the entry where TTA finally can show Jay that he knew that Jay was sitting against a tree after his encounter with Slendy.


Btw if Entry 38 is after 42 (which I think it is). There at least must be a day between them. I don't think Jay would go into any woods after his encounter with Slendy.

And for people who think Alex is Hoody. It just make no sense. So he first waits 15 minutes, picks up a camera, strolls back to Jay's car, runs to his own car, changes in another outfit, drives his car next to Jay, fafs about with his phone and finally walks into the wood a bit to encounter Jay. Jay sure took his time then If we assume it is him, that would have to give Alex some special powers as well.
