Yeah, I'm still thinking/hoping that totheark is Brian, but if it does wind up being Jessica, I wouldn't be surprised.

 		gonna be random, but earlier in the thread people were comparing the "portrait" of a hooded man to the hooded man by the tree. What is the portrait from? I... had never seen it before, I don't think.

 		Just sifted through all the pages and noticed no-one commented on the sudden drastic change in the relationship between Alex and Jay.

It always seemed as if Alex was supposed to be helping Jay before and that Alex had some kind of secret reservoir of knowledge. Now suddenly we learn that Jay is supposed to be helping Alex find Amy and that Alex is just as freaked out as Jay (though perhaps smarter in terms of how to roll under the radar).

This newly revealed goal of Alex's also explains why he would react so violently toward Masky and why he would seem so focused and pissed off. If someone kidnapped the woman I loved I'd be hella pissed off.

(P.S.- Perhaps Jay is just a bad actor, but didn't anyone else think he was a little underwhelmed by the discovery of his camera in the passenger seat of his car which was multiple miles from where he dropped it in a panic while running away from The Operator?)

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the scribble art drawing in "Intermission."

Also, judging by Jay's wording of what occurred on the fifteen minutes of tape between the time when he dropped it and Hoody picked it up ("nothing,") I think that the Operator's presence messed with the camera. For all we know, Hoody could've picked up the camera mere seconds after Jay fled. I don't think Hoody has any sort of teleportation powers (Occam's razor, as someone else here stated;) he simply knew the area better than Jay did, and was thus able to get out of the woods fast enough to return the camera to Jay's car before Jay got there. TTA (I strongly believe that Hoody is TTA) has always seemed kind of cocky to me in his responses to Jay's videos, so why wouldn't he be sure of himself that he'd get to Jay's car before Jay did?

 		Damn all this reading. So many theories that I feel like I need to rewatch the series to make sure I never missed anything.

Actually I have a cool idea.

Anyone wanna watch everything in a marathon on synchtube?

If ya don't know what synchtube is, its a playlist of youtube vids that people can watch together and chat. IDK, might be something to do. I am pretty bored.

I could buy that if it weren't for the eldritch horror that Jay had just seen. The camera was the last thing on Jay's mind and I think it was pretty apparent he wasn't coming back anytime soon by the way he booked it out of the clearing.

I do agree with your other point though. I think we even see Alex make a similar annoyed motion(finger and thumb to the bridge of the nose) at the beginning of 42 after he gets Jay's message.


I'm going to take this time to reiterate the point that the 15 minutes of "nothing" on the camera doesn't necessarily translate to 15 minutes of the camera lying there in real time, the tape could have skipped, messed up in transition to his computer (Assuming that's where he's watching it) or something else.


I got the vibe that Jay watched the video for 15 minutes and it was blank. So unless the Slender Distortion caused the tape to become stuck on nothingness for 15 minutes when that much time hadn't passed...

I *think* it's referring to when he says 'Jesus Christ' when Jay runs past him, but to be honest I really don't consider that a curse, hahah! At least drop the F Bomb or something! Laughing

Their relationship was Jay helping Alex with a film, Alex giving Jay the footage he originally meant to burn on the condition Jay never talk to him about it, Jay watching it and deciding he has to find Alex to talk about it, Alex finding Jay because Slendy's found Alex, Alex chucking rocks at Tim and being tetchy at Jay for stopping him, Jay whining at Alex that he needs to meet and Alex being tetchy at him, Alex finding out Jay left their arranged meeting spot to wander around in the forest just so he could lose his camera and going to find Jay to be tetchy at him, and at some point in the middle of all of that, Alex leading Jay on a merry jaunt through the woods to be creepy at him.

Overall relationship summary: "Dammit, Jay!"

I don't think Alex was supposed to be helping Jay before as much as Jay wanted to find Alex for answers before, and instead of answers, he's found crabbiness.

Maybe he wasn't sure. If I was stalking Jay, I'd head back to the car just in case, and if the car was gone, shrug it off and just catch him snoozing later. (He's easy to find, I hear.) Or I'd do that if Jay wasn't running panicked through the woods away from the Operator. Why did TTA choose this point to abandon Jay-watching? To keep the Operator off his own tail, or is he too awfully worried about Jay losing the camera?
