 		The meaning behind the alien?
sorta spoiler?
So I've been following this ARG on and off since the very first trailer, and I've never really posted..... Okay, so I've seen a couple people complain about the alien not having enough meaning in the story, I disagree. I believe the alien is really just a symbol for the grief of Joe losing his mother. An accident happens(the alien crashes, Joe's mom dies), then they both have to suffer through it for some time. Then when Joe let's go of the necklace, he is letting go of the pain of losing his mother, and the alien is finally free from it's pain. I think looking at it this way is kinda beautiful.

Great movie all around. Incredible movie. Amazing movie.

He wasn't defeated by cuteness, he heard the engine's starting or whatever it was that started up so he decided "this isn't worth my time" and the connection probably did have something to do with it.
