made by 14 year old kids.
I went on the Hybrid's channel to just look at a few videos and a user by the name of, "Slendersix" left a comment on their channel that said, "help." I thought to myself, "here we go...another unprepared vlog," and I was right. Yes...the user is only 14, but they follow every cleche in the book. Operator symbols, coughing, kid randomly running away for no reason. It's not even that funny, you'll just sit there and go, "no...stop, just stop please." Have a look for yourself.

My advice to the kids is start a new channel, write down ideas, brainstorm, and have a decent final project. Oh...and also, don't say, "I don't know what this is, it's gay." When your tag is slenderman and the title says, "slenderman video log."

Eh, it's not so much about age as about maturity/level of storytelling ability. This kid doesn't seem immature but he definitely isn't ready for a project like this.

Don't chew gum. Especially not with your mouth open.

Find convincing actors.

Don't notice something off-screen, react, and take off running without even pointing the camera at it.

Camera acting is different from stage acting. In camera acting, it's always better to underreact than overreact. Overreacting on camera looks incredibly fake and stupid.

Try to avoid filler.

If the characters are aware of Slender Man and are searching for him, avoid ALL filler. Why would someone upload a video if they didn't find anything?

If the blog is supposed to look like it's about something else and the characters are not aware of Slender Man, don't scream, "****! Holy ****! What the **** was that?!" Holy ****!" and start running like a convict as soon as you see him. The characters don't have anything to be afraid of yet. (Watch Entry #12 for realistic actions.)

In fact, if you're male, don't scream unless you're watching someone you love die. Guys don't scream when they're scared. I've gasped, froze, jumped and even cried when scared, but I've never screamed. Screaming is for pain.

Much, much more time should be spent on production, especially costumes, than actual filming. If you're gonna do it, you might as well go all out.

Don't flash random words on the screen. And a bunch of distortion is just cheesy. (unless you have leet skills like Troy)

Watch these bad vlogs. If yours looks even remotely like them, you're doing it wrong. If it turns out like Marble Hornets, what the crap, why didn't you make it sooner?!

If your series is even slightly under par, you'll get negative responses. There are so many slendervlogs ranging from bad to MH, so people won't hesitate to scrutinize the crap out of every single detail. Double chack everything and make sure all your bases are covered. No continuity screwups, unrealistic actions, or just plain flubs.

Don't use the Operator symbol.

Lastly, more Slender Man is more better! Mr. Green
