[CROSSOVER] TribeTwelve & EverymanHYBRID
Because going back and forth between two threads is annoying.

Since there is now strong evidence of a crossover between TribeTwelve and EMH I thought it'd be appropriate to start a new thread pertaining to any crossover information. That way everything can be put nice and neat into one thread rather than spread across two.

One request I have is that people take some time to help those of us who only follow one of these series catch up to essential information so that we aren't totally lost in this crossover.

Tribe Twelve and EMH
Are They Truly Seperate?

Look, I've been following EverymanHYBRID and Tribe Twelve both for a while now. The similarities were pretty wild and we know Noah spoke with the EMH cast in the past, even if briefly. With the newest Tribe Twelve video showing Noah receiving an envelope with purple tape on the outside, I must ask if we as followers of these series have to begin considering the possibility that Tribe Twelve and EverymanHYBRID are more connected than we originally considered.

After all, purple tape really seems like it might be a tool of HABIT. It often appears on his 'care packages' the boxes. These things contain information.

Appearing on an envelope that contains what THIS envelope contains... it really seems like the same M.O.

Is it truly impossible that EverymanHYBRID and TribeTwelve are of the same series/timeline/origins?

Kinda beaten to the punch here, but yeah, a crossover has been pretty much confirmed now.

It's a small crossover, similar to what Stephen King does in all his novels. They reference each other. But the references are more like Easter Eggs than actually critic parts of the series. If you read Jeff's OOG blog (see the OOG thread to see the link) this is pretty much confirmed to be a minor fun thing that won't ruin either series.

That's just too bad... I was really hoping Noah would be exposed as HABIT.

I'm going to go ahead and merge this with the other EMH/TT Crossover thread, as we really don't need two. Smile -Dixie

My apologies, I don't know how I missed this original thread.

And to be honest, if this is a 'minor' crossover, the tape might have been a step too far, as it really makes it seem like HABIT got involved.

That's because HABIT did get involved. And that really is Dr. Corenthal. There's no reason to think that isn't true.

But just because that is true doesn't mean it's a major crossover. I see this as pretty much a creative reveal for that piece of paper (part of which Jeff has in his possession).

The series are not going to be combined, it's not going to be like the blog crossovers. This is subtle.

I think it has the potential to reveal some intriguing new information about both series, though. I look forward to this developing.

I'm gonna be honest: I'm more interested in that letter than even HABIT's postcard. Yeah, it's a Dr. C letter about Milo, but I want to see if he draws any parallels with Fairmount!Evan or Fairmount!Vince.

So, while Rabbit 052 was strong arming HABIT, HABIT was pursuing some recreation of his own. I love this character so damn much.

Quick summaries:

Tribe Twelve begins with Noah Maxwell memorializing his cousin Milo Asher, a young man with staggeringly awful hair who'd taken his own life with a drug overdose. On their last meeting, Noah had video taped his activities with Milo, and when he later went back to watch the tapes was amazed at the bizarre behavior he'd essentially written off when it first happened. He also noticed a strange figure lurking in the backgrounds of the tapes...
Since then, Noah's been trying to get to the truth of what happened to Milo. His grandfather Karl had told him some strange stories about a man in a suit who'd stalked the Black Forest of Germany years ago, and who brutally killed a Nazi in front of him. Later, Noah began receiving packages from a mysterious source calling itself the Observer. They indicated Noah should come to the boardwalk he and Milo had visited. Eventually, the Observer hacked his computer using a trojan in a flash drive and began uploading strange, threatening videos to his account.
Noah decided he had to take a break, and went to a viewer's house for Thanksgiving, a girl named Sarah. They had a lovely dinner, but things turned ugly when [i]something[i] happened in the night, eventually culminating in Noah in a bloody, torn shirt standing over Sarah holding a knife. He dropped the knife and pretty much ran straight back home.
Some time later, Noah visited the boardwalk, was attacked by Slenderman, and vanished for 7 days. When he returned, he uploaded the video of his attack and laid low for a while, until the 17th of June, when he uploaded three videos. One was an update video recorded on the 23rd of May, one was an interview with his parents that shed new light on his situation, and one was a letter from HABIT with new clues in it.

Now, apologies if this isn't as straight forward as the Tribe Twelve summary, but I'm doing my best here. EverymanHYBRID started with three guys and their youtube fitness series. Evan was nutrition and self defense, Vinnie was the host and cardio, and Jeff was the camera and editing guy. They thought it would be clever to put a fake Slenderman in their videos, which backfired when oh shit, the real Slenderman showed up too.
The crew decide to move on with their series, and do a video about sleep deprivation. They begin finding strange things in their houses, purple duct tape covering photos of them on a nature hike they'd gone on, terrible dreams keeping them up at night.
Elsewhere, an artsy girl starts a blog named Can You See The Words, where she seems to hint at having encountered Slenderman at some point in the past. Coincidentally, she's recently moved to the area, is fresh out of the Funny Farm, and has made friends with a girl named Jessa, girlfriend of Jeff the camera man.
Things take a turn for the strange when the boys encounter Slenderman on another video shoot, leading them down a trail into a strange wooded area full of bags of gore. Evan, already a bit touched, begins laughing madly while surrounded by the blood. The boys go home, and Jeff leaves "to take care of some things", which means going on a cross-country mission. Why? Jessa has vanished, and he believes someone out there has clues as to where she is.
As all of this is happening, cryptic videos are being uploaded to the EMH youtube account, all of them having a rocking soundtrack. The videos show things the boys don't remember recording, things that logically they couldn't have recorded, and even things that didn't seem to really happen at all. Moreover, they insist they can't see the videos, and every attempt from the viewers at insisting otherwise falls on deaf ears.
The guys visit Jeff's house to talk to his brother Alex, who also has a youtube channel where he touches on how his brother's bizarre behavior is getting him in trouble with his parents. He also shows tremendous callousness towards his brother's situation, and generally seems like an unhelpful sibling. While at the house, the guys find some odd materials such as a video showing seemingly impossible things and a quote from House of Leaves: "Why did god create a dual universe? So he might say 'Be not like me, I am alone' and it would be heard."
Jeff comes back from his mission without Jessa, and with no helpful clues except a letter about a boy named Jeff being treated by a Doctor Corenthal. The relevance of this won't be known for quite a while.

... at this point, even I'm unclear with how to procede with EMH's story, since I believe this is the point where it started to get really heavy into player participation. Suffice it to say, there's a lot to work through there.

http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/Plot_Summary

Pretty much this: fitness series, fake slender, REAL slender shows up, jeff's gf jessa disappears, jeff looks for her, gets postcard saying "land of ashen waste", looks for ashen waste in various places, meanwhile the gang and the rabbits find clues (some placed by mysterious entity HABIT) about a Dr. Corenthal in charge of 4 troubled kids with the same names as them and Steph, find land of ashen waste (abandoned mining town of Centralia), give up search on jessa, meanwhile The Rake attacks Jeff's brother Alex, jeff finds out. Their friend is killed, and HABIT launches a tournament that a bunch of people join, and most get eliminated.

Throughout all that, videos that the gang cant see get out. HABIT drops clues everywhere that reveals the Mining Town 4 backstory, and also the idea that Evan may be inHABITed. We learn that Jeff and Alex's parents die during the beginning of the series, and they kept that secret from us.

That's basically *all* you have to know. A lot, but really not that hard to follow if you ignore the cruft.

A bunch of other big things happen, but they don't really contribute too much to the basic plot of the story, but add to the excitement.
Ashen Waste"? Great video with action and mind-fuckedness, but all it really does was reinforce the notion that Slendy can control time, how bad-ass Evan is, etc. "Damsel"? Fun episode, but doesn't really accomplish anything in the long-term. Corenthal Connection? Helped develop the Corenthal backstory, but no real significant plot points, really.
