Right, now I've fed the baby, I can get a video of me saving the picture and opening it in the editing software and playing with the exposure if you like.

That would be great, it would give us a lot more of an idea about what's going on.

No problem, I'll have to wait for my other half to get home and more than likely wait for the kids to go to bed but what I'll do is delete the images I have on the computer already then record me saving the image and opening it up etc. I'll try saving it again now to see if it was a bad save just in case.

I just thought of something else. Those who are trying to find the hidden image, are you saving straight from the main page or are you clicking Belle's picture first, then saving it? I clicked on it first to get the isolated picture first.

Edit: Saved it again, same problem.

There is something else though, a number of people have now said that while messing with the exposure it's become more obvious that the image is a splice, can someone post a few images to show how this is, so everyone can see? The splice vs no splice debate is still pretty heated, and there are a lot of people arguing for both sides.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/684/bellesplits.jpg/ there it is. Can anybody else see that?

I can definitely see the distinction there yeah. I'm not a graphics person, so does anyone have an explanation for why this might occur naturally? Or is it proof of two different images merged together?

No. The lines on her face, suggesting that its two different pics.

XD ah I see, I can't see any definite lines but hopefully someone has enough skill to sort the splices into their original forms....if that's
possible.

That's the problem. I think the hidden image is just a negative of the original.

I dont even thin it's that. There was a theory that the picture is made out of two pictures. And it clearly is. Only the two pictures are the same pictures. Why would someone do that tho?

Well, I don't have any proper image editor here, but I found the "cloud" thing on belle's face with my Office 2010 Laughing

Just posting cause someone said something about clouds.

Maybe just to make a creepy effect?

I have been lurking online here, mostly because I don't really have time to do more than passively watch this one. But its interesting regardless.

I have a theory. Perhaps one of the two pictures that were put together was "warped," to make the facial features similar? As a woman matures, her face matures as well, leaving only small characteristics of which she was born with. Keep in mind that this is just a theory. .

I'm beginning to wonder if we need to start looking at her as an older woman now, rather than the girl in the picture.
