I didn't really put too much to that specific question/response.

If you wanted to break this down though, and I'll run with the idea that this is a game/social experiment: When everything is "revealed" and it's not some kind of earth shattering revelation (which I seriously doubt it would be) There will be a lot of backlash from people who have taken on this cause, pored over and speculated and studied all the details in minutia.

which would seem (to me) that they will discuss the project as a whole, answer some questions on who/what/why that they would not before, then move on.

If this was "Serious Revelation Territory" (A) they wouldn't need this kind of cryptic approach to it, and (B) They would probably be using better methods of communications after the "reveal"

Did someone say before that they rearranged all of the numbers and got the IP of the Department of Defense website?

If memory serves me right they did.

Anyways, scroll to the bottom of the link I just posted, and look to where it has the " Who is behind this study? " section.

Apparently, this is funded by the DoD.

This is probably a coincidence, or me trying to make something out of nothing, but I thought it was sort of strange.

 		Is there any connection with the alt tags and names of the files on the sightings page? After some googling I know Ophiuchus is a constellation and Altair is the brightest star in the Aquila constellation. Alphekka is a star too. They mention on the formspring that the constellation thats shaped like a W is their favourite. Rasalhauge is the brightest star in Ophiuchus.

"Close" "roof" "far" and "retraction" and "in the wing" are other words mentioned on this page.

Is ANY of this connected?!

 		Also on the "Get Involved" page if you highlight the whole page at the top in tiny writing it says ~18,000 and at the bottom in tiny writing it says "Top Down" not sure if anyone spotted this yet.

heheh I'll go ahead and say it now as a newbie to this thread: You need to go back and read the 42 previous pages. It's a lot, but it gets you up to speed on what everyone has discussed previously.

It would make a great coincidence, but the project extends past 8-3-11, so I doubt it's involved. I'll PM you a post I recently saw about DoD and social media though. I found it to be interesting.

Unfortunantly I lost the specific link, but it dealt with how the DoD wants to be able to get counter-intelligence out faster, should someone blog something they consider to be "sensitive".

 		On the subject of stars
Just some notes I've taken and freeform thinking dealing with the symbol, star and constellation references in some of the first image names and alt tags on the "Sightings" page:

The11thDoctor suggested Sun - Fire - Light
mandyann98 suggested Summer Triangle, pointing out that Altair is a star in that formation.

For me is a kind of old german or Tirolese music...
A Lot of people think that music is in "foxtrot" stile, but i'm sure they are wrong.
