It would make a great coincidence, but the project extends past 8-3-11, so I doubt it's involved. I'll PM you a post I recently saw about DoD and social media though. I found it to be interesting.

Unfortunantly I lost the specific link, but it dealt with how the DoD wants to be able to get counter-intelligence out faster, should someone blog something they consider to be "sensitive".

to solve it only with the pdf, without some type of key or hit about the symbols seems very unlikely. The pdf has a list of the glyphs used in wich you put a value on them, for example you could place the letter T as a value for the circle glyph; and then the pdf finds the place of that glyph on the diagram and uses the normal letter. You have an absurd number of possible combinations as you do not even understand the image, or it's purpose

If you assume a cypher uses a simple replacement encryption, then the first step would be to check "Letter Frequency." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_frequency
The first few letters of the view6 cypher follow letter frequency quite precisely. After that you use trial and error looking for recognizable words. If you notice, the decrypter of the cypher mistook a C as a D, because DON'T is a word, but CONT is not.

Has anyone got ANY ideas about the "word" above 68000's name?

Assuming that the two unknowns will be letters J, X or Z and that it's a simple Caesar cipher (as per the clues in the image alt tags) I have used a spreadsheet to calculate EVERY possible decoding assuming alphabets of both 26 and 38 characters. Then reversed that text. All I created was pages of gibberish! I'd be happy to post the whole thing but I don't think it would do any good!!

LOL you have a point there, also I completely forgot that the orignal translation had DONT instead of CONT. why would the PM have an error like that on an intentional leak?

Anyway, the translation seems correct and has worked for the view7, the fake image and the "second diagram"

As for the P*QDNYUOE*D*NAT i posted earlier, I think one of those missing symbols is a number but I do not think it helps at all it still seems as gibberish

I couldn't get anywhere with this idea at first (well, I guess I still can't, really) because the only letters we had left to use were J, X, and Z, but maybe this sort of thing might work if we use numbers for letters like with "8311". If the whole "3rd" or "#3" thing is right, we can't use 3, but maybe "AND8OUND_P" or something? This doesn't lead to anything solid yet, but I'm just trying to think of new strategies to grease the wheels a bit.

on page six, the GUEST said she had been in comtact with the site for about a week , but that she had to get out now.
what does that mean? why would she have to get out? did she get scared or something? did no one else see that? she was the one that leaked the image and she said she would be blacklisted for it, but I guess she did not care since she had decided to end it.....
