Re: Finding Hidden files
No tools exist to find un-linked files

If you have a list of possible urls is there a program to check them? I was thinking the next url will be a star name which is misspelled like rasalhague and oreo.

18001, interesting ideas about phones. Do you think their names could be a number?
18 ,000 , 21 ,000 , 36 ,000 , 68 ,000 , 175 ,000 is 1-821-366-8175
Not sure if the area code is valid for this example, but there are the right amount of numbers for a U.S. phone number.

I'm a Mac user so I just paste the text into the Pages app which recognises URLS and accesses them through Safari.

#1. Click on a link in Pages
#2. Get the 404 page on 8•3•11.info
#3. Close window
#4. Goto 1

Something similar must possible under Windows?

I was thinking more about the untranslated words on 20p7ygm

CO_HKD_VHSL which is 2•6_5•53_•8475

So I guess it's not a phone number..

Hey people, supposedly, there published a Q&A at the Formspring, but it was deleted almost inmediatly.

(I know Taringa must not be precisely a reliable source to you, bout it sounds truth to me)

Wow, could you guys from Taringa please stop posting your bullshit all over the internet? That question never existed and your link also isn't a link to formspring but to Taringa (and it's broken). Why are you doing this? Why are you pretending you found anything new if it's not true? Get the fuck out of this thread.

I couldn't find an 821 area code, but 281 area code is for Seabrook (near Houston) Texas...

I was looking up the stars and constellations that were alluded to on the sightings page, and found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavenly_Market_enclosure
Doubt it's related, but it does contain the constellations of all three stars mentioned, and it's kinda cool.

Hey guys, just a thought, maybe nothing...
The first two images from "Sightings" were posted using the anchor tag, but all the rest have image tag...
This only means that a different coder uploaded the last images...

Another thought... The fact that this page includes the TopDown mp3, wouldn't mean that whe need to reverse something...

Sorry for my english, again, I'm from Argentina and an Anti Taringa! on this one...

New Formspring question:
did belle got that illness "naturally" or something went wrog?

Which illness?

Does she have more than one illness? Or do theey mean she doesn't have one at all?

Maybe I'm over thinking this, but if they were denying there was an illness they would have said "WHAT illness?"
However if they wanted someone to specify the illness they would (and did) say "WHICH illness?"

I've been trying several star name to no avail. I tried some of the stars from Aquila, because of "in the wing." I also tried several from Hercules since it's in between the three other constellations. Like I said no luck.

I did the same as you. From the sightings page the files are in the wrong alphabetical order and I think it might be a clue to how to enter the star name.

I was thinking that far in the wing might refer to the stars in Aquila that are not bright enough to have names but are assigned greek symbols. There is a z at the end of one wing and a y at the other. If that is what they are refering to, I still don't know how to enter the star name.

let me help you out

# wget -i links.txt

unfortunately they dont use a proper 404 http-code on the error-page, so you have to filter them out by their filesize

# find . ! -size 842c -delete
# ls

A.png
C.png
E.png
HelpHerCWT.pdf
HelpHerNT.pdf
H.png
Knowledge.mp3
B.png
D.png
F.png
HelpHerCWT.png
HelpHerNT.png
Knowledge.html
TopDown.png

that are the only "valid" links from the pastebin.

Cocotel said on page 57 that those types of programs only retrieve pages that are somehow connected to the main page. We are most likely looking for a completely independent page.

I know it would be easy to find a list of the names of bright stars and write a program to generate a list of those names with the letters rearanged. Is there a way to test the list without testing each link manually? Is there a way to make a program that will

enter a url into a browser
check the file size
If large enough print url to text file
repeat

My single semester of C++ did not prepare me for this type of thing. Is this impossible?
