I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk here, but I don't remember where the in-game validity of all of this was established. I've had a bit of trouble keeping up with this stuff (mostly because I've been willfully tuning it out.) Could someone point me in the right direction?

It was established OOG.

Thanks -- that's all I was looking for.

In that case, disregard my previous comments while I recalibrate my viewpoint.

For what it's worth (I'm no rabbit, never have been, only a Hybrid) I think we should at least look over FRA's actions fairly, objectively, and weigh him before just saying one way or the other.

He's display a good amount of creativity in coming up with this ploy, steel balls in pulling it off, and tenacity in playing through it even after his roomie got caught. He was still keeping up the charade despite HABIT having obviously said "I know where you sleep." Whether stupid or brave, it takes a special level of zeal to do that. And, if the confessions are actually true, then he's at least trying to be square with us after everything else so far.

Now, he also showed himself to be insanely stupid going up against HABIT, someone who, apparently, can instigate uprising in the Middle East and has a portal-hopping rabies-infested Snoopy at his beck and call. He's clearly a liar, so even now we can't be sure of what he says. And, perhaps the thing we really have to consider is he knows the game. From both this and previous Trial behavior it's clear that he's a man who wants to stack the odds in his favor, and will bend and break anything he can to make sure he gets through.

In a way, he's an element in the Trials that would make HABIT proud: something unpredictable. But he's also a human, which is more than we can be sure of about our glorious host.

Hmm... after all that, I'm still not sure if I say keep him or not.

ChildofAtom: This is what I was concerned about. Basically, oh hey we vote FRA out and BAM suddenly we are all eliminated and FRA is the winner. Surprise Trial Seven.
But I don't know. I will be very frank here for a moment. The bottom line is we've reached Trial Seven, and one less person is in my interests, especially one who wouldn't hesitate to throw me under a bus, or, in fact, look for a bus to throw me under and then proceed to once discovered. I have Dixie_Wolf for that. :3
So, considering his over-all conduct as a Rabbit, not as a person (I don't drink beer but a beer on the porch was a nice offer :3), I have less than no concern taking the opportunity. Whether that makes me horrible or not.
As for this rebounding on the honest Rabbits, and I can't believe these words are coming out of my mouth, I trust HABIT not to be that ridiculous. I have to. I'm following the rules. FRA hasn't. I'm being a good Rabbit, that's it.
Regardless of the reason, if we do come to the decision to out FRA, I think we would be wise to petition that this not be a fatal choice for him?

I think there are a few options here:
1. If FRA stays in the trials and loses, I'm sure HABIT has some sort of special punishment planned for him.
2. If FRA stays in the trials and wins, he will either be inHABITed or rake-food.
3. If FRA is forced out of the trials, HABIT will still punish him somehow.
My point: FRA is screwed regardless, so let's keep him in the trials and watch what happens.
And FRA if you are reading this: nothing personal against you. I just think that HABIT has it out for you.

Well... HABIT already sort of pulled this stunt in 2 right? (Hey, elect some leaders! Oops did I forget to mention one of them would be eliminated? My bad.) Would he repeat himself? Plus this is all sort of extra curricular, if he pulls it that can't have been the original plan.

@ cake: Totally calm, just using caps instead of bolding.
Geez, to people still equalize caps with screaming??

I AM NOT AGITATED!! Laughing

Anyways, as I said before - there is no logic to this line of thought. He could have done it, but... why interact with HABIT? It's certainly masochistic trying to bribe somebody with... nothing but hot air? It leads nowhere, and it would have been accepted as a gamejack if he never had the parcel.

@ lunaticfish: The "I am a good Rabbit" line just gave me the creeps, as it reminds me of... "I was a good officer, and only did what I was told."

HABIT has you guys where he wants to. It's now your round to either proof you are human, or that you are on the way to become an irreversible hate-machine.

I have given enough logical explanations and typed out enough reasoning why I think that you guys are running into an open knife, and that FRA is doing these two videos to "stay in the trials" - and that the outcome will not concern him, but you.

But if you want to ignore the logic I have applied (mirroring the TWO sudden and late "confession videos" to the trial videos HABIT made us do, revealing the illogical idea of bribing him with something non-existent, begging to be punished, sheer out-of-character-ness of FRA) - go on, and see where it leads.

HABIT does not follow rules.
He never does.
Trusting the Devil was Faust's major fault.
And he has done this sort of thing before...

As for the closing words... this is from the EMH thread:

Quote:
So HABIT is definitely behind this plan. New Tweet: THE REMAINING RABBITS WILL CHOOSE #052'S FATE THROUGH A SIMPLE VOTE.

and in my email: AS OUR FRIEND #052 SUGGESTED, WE HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT THIS MATTER:

REMAINING RABBITS, VOTE SIMPLY: YAY or NAY, REGARDING HIS LONGEVITY IN THE TRIALS.

eh, kinda what I thought

it almost seems as if habby is trying to trick y'all into voting FRA off.
but maybe that's just me. *shrugs* good luck deciding I suppose...
