New video up re the numbers which may help whoever is working on that. I don't understand what is going on with that.

I'm still reading through the wikis on the various names attached to the numbers which I guess is probably not important.

Neither do I understand!

I do very much doubt that anything is unimportant. Can anyone tell what the last few words of the new video are. Also the bit in the middle that sounds like "I am Father, or I father" ?

Maybe being American will help?? Wink

K folks, I have noticed something ...

On the postcard it is written on the base of the statue 5/90

On the lottery tickets (and in the Italian lotto) there are 90 numbers

We have been given (so far I believe) 5 lotto tickets

The actual meaning of the word Marundiladorun is 90 minus 5

"What are the odds that it'll be you? Exact numbers please, which, of course, will earn you a ticket - which will then change your odds.."

So are the odds we are looking for the chance of winning the lotto with 5 tickets? Or something... I really don't do maths very well!

EDIT
: Winning odds for superenalotto near the bottom of the page...

EDIT#2: A tweet from Forest:

@5tr1ng Follow the past, not the present.Currently they look for 6 from 90 - not Yorubian at all...use the *Web to help you with your *Math!

and a link to the page DDL and myself found some time ago to do with the Yoruba number http://www.sf.airnet.ne.jp/~ts/language/number/yoruba.html

I'm back. A week without internet sucks. Still need to watch this new video, but I did find this...

Wikipedia wrote:
The SuperEnalotto of Italy is possibly the most difficult, as players try to match 6 numbers out of 90. The odds in making the jackpot are 1 in 622,614,630, while the odds of matching 5 numbers are 1 in 1,235,346

Edit: I figured out who the guy in the back is. Not sure if anyone has found this yet, but I haven't seen it mentioned.

It's Casanova again. Why? Because he was "the inventor and promoter of the lottery system."

Glad you're back ddl.

Ah good call on Casanova. I have read about so many different lotteries in history that I was rather bemused by it all. One of the earliest ones I read about was run by Queen Elizabeth I.

I googled the odds on matching 5 out of 5 balls in a 90 ball lottery and came up with 1:1,235,346. Same as you ddl. However I looked further and this page shows you how to calculate lottery odds and I got a different answer.

Here's an email I sent Forest:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lottery_mathematics

To: forest f e yeo-thomas

Subject: Fw: odds

With further research and calculation by myself I think the numbers for 5 out of 90 are wrong.

By my own hand it should be 1: 43,949,268

! Well done !
Now. Be ready for Monday. Gather your friends - get others as well if you can...

From Monday onwards, people will be able to choose which ticket they like...

Forest

I also received another lottery ticket, the sixth one.

Did everyone get this email?Sadly I don't have too much time to work on this but it looks so cool and very interesting.

Three tasks.
Three levels.
At least one ticket for everyone...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/whiterabbit2011

It is up to you now how much you invest, both time and effort. Work together or solo - but one task has one reward of 5 tickets, one has one reward of 3 and one has a reward of 1 ticket per well-crafted entry [limited to one per person* ]

and.. YOU choose your ticket number!*

What is the prize for this lottery...?
Like all good lotteries - it is based on the revenue gained from entrants - as no funds are changing hands, then it is of time and effort - art, poetry and calligraphy are all to be gained possibly.

Forest.

*while tickets last - tickets are non transferable

I can't seem to figure out who the man in the postcard is. Anyone know?

Also, about the five jewels image- I see a few things that seem odd about it(there's some blue thing) but I'm not sure what to do with it.

"How Fair is the use of magic for creating life though? We wonder this as we get the sensation of the trees watching us while here in Venice."

A cross-over of sorts. I'll be following this one now...

And as something else entirely Saranna posted this...

http://tarotbysaranna.blogspot.com/2011/06/lies-between.html

Which I happened to stumble on when I clicked the bookmark accidentally. Shocked

Who knows if this is important or not, but considering a cross-over...

A new moon was approaching then. It was then that the Watchman requested that we show our devotion to the Green. Three did so, and will be contacted again during the Autumnal Solstice. Until then, our paths have crossed, yet not aligned.

Edit--The two ARGs have their links, but they should be treated separately for now.

Time to join forces then? My only thought at this hour, minutes away from sleep it Forest saying:
