Gratz to Charon.

Dude you are FAST. I think I was the 2nd one there 'cause a bunch of people arrived after me, whilst I was looking in all the wrong phone booths. One of them would have gotten it anyway since I totally missed the phonebooth in RIGHT front of the diner. God I'm a dumb blonde Smile

Oh well, it was still pretty exciting for my 1st ARG

My Experience
crazy 5 minutes!

I live less than 4 blocks from the diner location. Me & my friends had been waiting all day in my hot apartment. We we saw that Los Angeles wasn't going to be in the 5pm 6pm group, we even walked up to Starbucks on Wilshire for caffeine. Manic refreshing since 6pm 7pm went by with no update. I had my ipad ready with Google Earth. Typed in coords and screamed. I saw it was on Wilshire and then noticed the gold circle of LACMA's building at Farifax & Wilshire.

Like maniacs, we ran out of my apartment. Everyone had assigned duties and we hit the road with a minute of the posting. Had to run through the red left hand turn (we do that in LA all the time - hardly any left turn signals here). Saw the phone booth and about jumped out of a moving car as we pulled into the parking lot. Looked under, then behind & saw the envelope. We were jumping around like mad and people at the bus stop thought we were crazy. Got there in maybe 4 minutes flat. About 2 minutes after we got there, we saw a couple run up and around the building -- another team. They finally noticed us with the envelope and left without coming over. We're friendly -- they could of come over.

Took us a moment to remember we actually had to text a number. Received instructions to park the next block over, but this being LA we had to move the car less it get towed. Finding a parking spot in rush hour traffic took more time then getting to first drop. We cut through the museum and looked under the many bridges around the Japanese Pavilion, until I spotted a guy wearing an Ice Fly t-shirt taking photos.

Box was under a wooden bridge in the park. They videotaped us the entire time. And we shot Flip, which I'm going to edit & post tonight. (Will update everyone when it's up).

One thing is, our Ice Fly hasn't yet lit up. We've plugged it in once we got back to my apt., but nothing. I texted the 42E # with this info and they said to be patient...so we'll see.

I'll get the video done tonight I hope...
