@mdegar on twitter.
Unfortuanetly I don't get off work until 3pm, but if possible I would like to meet up with whoever gets the loot to examine it myself. Assuming there is loot. Lol.

So it says that Vukcevich got the drop. I think he was the old guy that was picking up the package for his son Steven who had to go to work at 4. I was just behind him, and another guy had shown up (don't remember the name) just after I did.

and here he is http://www.flickr.com/photos/missionicefly/5888911685/in/photostream

That "other guy" was me. =p It was nice meeting you, man. (Not surprised you don't remember the name, tho. I'm not even 100% sure on the proper pronunciation of my handle.)

I was in the area a couple minutes, so I may have missed the thing cause I didn't get a clear picture in my mind of what the location looked like... (Like I already passed up that bench once when I was looking around and you told me it was already gone)

Oh well, guess I'll just have to try harder to be more lucky next time. XD

Haha, at least you guys made it to the first point. I accidentally mixed up the 1 and the 4 in the coordinates and ended up in 30 miles south. Whoops, next time I'm double checking.

Posted this is the trailhead thread, but thought I'd post it here too.

Hey guys, back from work. Yes I am the Phoenix guy (not the old man). Sad to hear it made a few feeling sour about my old man finding it. While I should have been getting ready for work, I was glued to the computer screen, biting my fingernails. He asked what it was and got interested. Long story short, he raced downtown from northern Phoenix to find it, while I headed off to work. During my break I checked my phone to hear a voice message of an excited old man panting; he got it. I just wanted to get it out there that I do wish I had gone myself. Still, him and I have always been a great team, and it's almost more fulfilling that he went, mostly for him and the experience he got from it. "I felt like a secret agent; it was amazing."

In short, I simply wanted to apologize for those who felt cheated. I can't wait to continue the ARG with you all.

P.S. If this message doesn't make you feel better in the least bit, watch this video from the old Cloverfield ARG and have a chuckle. Yep, that's me when I was 17. Total embarrassment, and I didn't win the contest; but still worth it.

You're good. Honestly I just feel better knowing you are following the ARG. The main thing that was bugging me really is I thought I lost to some dude who wouldn't attempt to contribute. I'm glad to be wrong and happy to hear your tale. =) I apologise for not loosing more graciously. =p

Any Phoenicians find gum yet? I've gone to two Frys, an AM PM, Circle K, QT, and Target, and found nothing yet.

Nothin. Before I knew the 3 packs had em I think I saw a September dated 3 pack at the Wal-Mart on 59th and Bell. Can't say for sure though. I'm going hunting again tomorrow.

I just posted that wm 35th ave anf southern had react2 3 packs with exp date feb 24 2012. Also target has some recent packs (vortex) with iceflies and frys has lots of singlrs but for 1.50 each. I got enough for me and my cousin to input

Nice.

STILL couldn't find a place.... Bloody hell. I can see the gum supply is far greater than the gum demand.
