Dagh, if I knew you were doing this I'd have taken pictures. I'm on number 6.

Simple Sudoku puzzle. Kinda refreshing after flash games with 50 levels.

Man, it never occurred to me that it was a Sudoku kind of thing. I brute-forced my way through the first three before insisting to myself that I was missing something.

Thanks for the tip-off, KLind.

Sad I'm putting the tiles in the described solution pattern, but it never advances or gives me any signs of completion. I've only gotten up to level 2. And level 1 won't respond either when I try it again. Why?

while i do appreciate the thought and effort put into uploading solutions, I think it is unfair to put them right out in the open like that. Suggestions:

a) label the thread with a tag for SPOILERS!

b) post only LINKS to the pictures, do not embed them. (Not only does this reveal solutions to unsuspecting people who come to read a discussion thread, but it also pulls bandwidth to load *every* image *every* time the thread is opened. Better to let people CLICK on the image they need to see)

I suppose there isn't any real need for a discussion thread with these "brain teaser" puzzles, but this is a discussion forum. Solutions have been stored on the wiki in the past.

While I entirely disagree with the use of spoilers as reason not to post the image (the sight of the first solution surely won't ruin the puzzle for every individual, nor is the human mind capable of memorization of the cognitive patterns and relations between color and shape), you do bring a good point in terms of bandwidth (as minor as it may be). It's a simple fix, and I am more than willing to replace the embed links with their url counterparts. Thanks for the feedback.

Being at the point, does the Summary of events thread (made by me) need revising in your opinion? I included a lot of pics to make it more pleasant to read, and to illustrate the story. Much more delightful than plain text IMO. On the other hand, perhaps the bandwidth issue applies too. My counter-argument is that mine is not a frequently visited thread compared to this one.

I liked this puzzle! I kind of wish there were more levels, but I'm also glad they kept it simple.

Using an abundance of images on web page makes almost no difference in this day and age. The amount of bandwidth consumed is so insignificant, that if you are actually playing along with Test Subjects Needed, you should have enough bandwidth to handle ten images (and even more in your case). The primary issue with bandwidth occurred years ago, when dial-up was the primary connection type. If you haven't noticed, any product with any sort of business sense has a website that is flustered with an abundance of advertising through the use of imagery. The main point of the suggestion was for me to eliminate any chance of spoilers for those who were simply glancing by (which I can understand). The bandwidth point, to my evaluation, was simply a supporting statement to further persuade me to change it. Your overview should be fine, keep up the good work.
